“Very bad service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2010

This hotel has a very bad service. It is bad organised: at the arrival of the group of tourists, they were on panic. To have the dinner the group waited more than 1 hour and than to have something to drink during the dinner, well, thet arrived after finished to eat. If the hotel would improve the service, maybe could be a decent hotel.

The rooms were more than reasonable in both sleeping areas and bathrooms. Secure and clean but the location for access into Berlin is very poor. It is a 15 min walk to the closest underground railway station and even though there is a bus stop close by the travel time is too long. Very difficult taking luggage around the place. WIFI access is in the foyer but the hotel charges 8 Euro per hour. Highly overpriced. However if you do get to stay there a very good restaurant is a 1 minute walk from the Hotel. Great Italian food and service.

it's a average hotel, breakfast basic . Rooms are small but clean
it's not a very cosy hotel, in the bar a very very bright light so you've almost could wear your sunglasses lol.
Nearby there is a good mexican and italian restaurant, next to the hotel a mac donalds

when I checked out my card was charged US $195.00, for TV, internet and telephone. 108 euro they said was for the TV, I have travel around the world, never had to pay for TV in a hotel before, was never told about extra payment for the TV until check out. the area is very noisy from teens next door at Mac Donald all during the night and early morning. no safety chain on doors the maid knocks once, open and enter before you can put clothes on.

We were in Euro Hotel in Berlin with our students, for our school trip.
Rooms are elegant and cleaned but it is far from the center. They haven't a kitchen so their restaurant service have no choice and the food is poor.
The worst is that when they say beverages are excluded from the fee, they mean
also free normal water and if you want to drink you have to buy bier or their little bottles of water at 5 euro eachone.
Their two courses are one pasta with a fruit or a piece of meat with purea and a yogurt.
So be prepared to see your students without beverages and to go outside to look for a pizza. Moreover the director is deaf, at breakfast it is not permitted to take outside a piece of cake or everything to eat later.

The hotel itself is excellent for the money.

- I will recommend it if you are just staying in Berlin shortly (a few days) to go on to the Berlin-Schönefeld Airport.
- I will not recommend it if you (as we) are staying in Berling as a turist for several days. Not because the hotel is bad, but because of the location far away from inner city.

PROS:
- Very modern and new hotel
- Very, very clean hotel and room
- Excellent breakfast (big buffet with a lot of different things)
- Frigde (* the minibar)
- Nice and quite neighbourhood
- McDonalds and Aldi (supermarket) nearby
- Bus stop right next to the Hotel (bus 171 goes to Neukölln where you are connected to the S+U bahn)
- Nice and friendly staff
- thorough cleaning (one day they tidied up all our private things at the table and in the bathroom)

CONS:
- Location far away from the inner city (takes about 30-40 minutes to come to the inner city)

  • Liked — Breakfast, the cleanness, staff
  • Disliked — Location to inner city

My boyfriend & I stayed here the night before we were due to fly home from Schonefeld airport. After looking about online, we realised that this hotel was going to be the cheapest option. Even cheaper than booking into a private double in a hostel!
There wasn't a lot of information about the hotel on the internet so we were not sure what to expect, but as it was working out cheaper than a hostel we didn't really expect much!
Although the building isn't too asthetically pleasing from the outside, when you walk into reception you feel like you are at a far more upmarket hotel.
The staff are all very polite and smartly dressed and the place is immaculate. There is a small bar downstairs as well.
The room was of a Travelodge standard, if not nicer. Clean and very comfortable.
Only downside was that there was no kettle!
Next to the hotel is a late night McDonalds which is handy, if like us, you arrive late and have nothing to eat!
I would recommend this hotel only for a one night stay for being near the airport...due to the location I would not recommend it for your whole stay.
For 7 euros you can have a buffet breakfast which was on between 6.30am and 11am. We had it and it was worth the money I'd say. There was bread, various spreads etc, teas, coffee, sausages, eggs, various meats, cheese, fruit, etc etc.

As for getting to the airport, they arranged a taxi for us and it cost 15 euros which isn't bad.

So if you want a comfy hassle free night before your flight home then stay here!

  • Liked — The excellent value for money, including the breakfast, and the location near the airport..
  • Disliked — No complaints really.
