The only reason I'm not giving this a five was that it was one of those hotels that I usually dislike - a chain where you could be literally anywhere in the world. And that's what this is but a very good one at that.
We had a suite which was enormous, a kitchen, separate bedroom, sitting area, breakfast table, there's even a washing machine and dryer. The hotel feels a bit isolated (it is next to a building site) but actually it was a short walk to at least three tube stops plus a 10 minute walk to Checkpoint Charlie and its multiple museums. Because it's more apartment than hotel, it was fine to go across the road to the LIDL to get food and drink for the room which helped the budget enormously (breakfast here was €19) and we actually became well acquainted with the neighbouring Irish Times which was good and cheap beer in a short walk.
It is cold now so it's a shame there wasn't much going on closer to the hotel but that's just me being a wimp. All in all I enjoyed staying here and would look out for others in the same group.More
