We spent 3 nights in this hotel at the end of January. It is very reasonably priced and great value for money! It is well located central to everything. It has a great breakfast buffet and the restaurant serves an Australian themed menu in the evenings. The rooms are of a really good standard and kept very clean. The only quip was that the room service menu had not been updated in a while and times and prices were incorrect. When this was highlighted the room attendant reported it to her supervisor and had it changed.

We stayed at the Adina Apartment Hotel for a week in early January 2010. There were three of us staying in a two bedroom serviced apartment. There is plenty of space and a well equipped kitchen (full oven, 4 ring cooktop, toaster, kettle, microwave, dishwasher and fridge). All cutlery, crockery and cookware needed to prepare meals for four were provided. The fridge doubled as a mini-bar, but with plenty of room for provisions. The nearby supermarkets (Lidl, one block away and Kaiser three blocks away) have a good range of food with a better range of wine at the Kaiser.
One bedroom had a queen bed (the en-suite room) and there was a king bed in the other bedroom. Each bedroom has an LCD television and the main bathroom has a washing machine and tumble dryer. The sitting room had a dining table for four, a sofa, an armchair, desk and chair.
The nearest U-Bahn stations are a couple of blocks away, with Friedrichstrasse shopping even closer.
The staff were all friendly but not intrusive. We did not eat at the Adina as we sampled a number of Berlin eateries (particularly around Alexanderplatz), but the restaurant had a steady number of diners for both breakfast and dinner.
Internet access was good, but rather expensive at €14.50 per day (wired and wireless are the same price and the Adina recommends the wireless as the wired billing is outside of their control).

The hotel staff are very helpful, and everyone we talked to spoke English. Wi-fi is avaliable by access code cards from the front desk 3 hours of internet access for 3euro50. The buffet breakfast at the hotel has hard boiled eggs, rolls, drinking yogurts, fruits, cheeses, small sausages, juice/coffee/tea and eggs cooked to order. a little pricey- charged to your room bill- but undeniably convenient.

About the room:
The first thing you have to do when you enter the room is put your keycard in a slot to turn on the electricity. The room is modern-looking with grey walls, red curtains, high ceilings, and a view that overlooks the courtyard (see pic).

TVs in both the bedroom and living room. When pulled close, the bedroom blinds really block out the light for a noonday nap. There is a safe deposit box in bedroom closet- swipe your keycard and enter a code.

Best feature, by far is the Kitchenette: oven, stovetop, refrigerator, microwave. Hot water/coffee maker, and dishwasher. The kitchenette sink is shallow and circular. the kitchen cupboards are amply stocked with dishes, pots/pans/spatulas, and a salt shaker. Coca-cola and beer bottles in the tempting mini bar for 3euro each.

Second best feature: the clothes Washer and Dryer! if you can figure out what the settings are by the symbols and german abbreviations. a small basket above the washer/dryer holds detergent tablets. The towel rack doubles as a heated drying rack, and an iron and iron board are also in the laundry closet.

Shower has good pressure, very hot water, and a large tub.
soap/shampoo/conditioner/lotion and toothpaste provided, in case TSA is being strict.

About the surroundings:
Walk across the street to Lidl- reminded me of Grocery Outlet here in the states. Across the street (via pedestrian tunnel) and down one block is another, more organized, grocery store called Kaisers (see pic) Kaisers has a bakery, and one [store] brand of each item. This is where I got my Listerine. And Kinderschocolades.
Another block down is the medical clinic and pharmacy. I hope you won't have to go there but it's nice to know it's so close.
We tried the chinese restraunt next door to Lidl's and thought it tasted... like Chinese! There were a few germanized potato-chinese dishes, but otherwise, as you'd expect. tasty tiramasu ice cream. interesting mechanical self cleaning toilet in the ladies room.

As the hotel website promises, we walked to Checkpoint Charlie, and the souvenir shops, Cafe Einstein, Starbucks, and the Gendarmanmarkt. Since we were visiting in December, the square was filled with tents vending Christmas gifts and treats.

It was a quick walk to the U-bahn station (see pic) and the train system in Berlin is very easy to figure out, and will take you everywhere you want to go for a lot less than a taxi.

We were more than pleased with Hotel Adina, and if we return to Berlin we will stay here again.

I lived in Berlin 15 years a ago and amazed by how the city has changed and especially the hotels in the old eastern part.
The Adina apartments are very nice with a nice pool , gym and Whirlpool. As I know Berlin pretty well I found it easy to get around.
The rooms and the breakfast are top class. I would recommend this hotel highly . The street itself is quite baron and empty (Berlin has this feeling in general). If you are the sort of traveller that wants to be surrounded by brights and energy Iwould suggest another location. The views from the rooms are not great but the proximity to Checkpoint charlie, Mitte and Kreuzberg are a plus.
