“Lovely atmosphere, food so-so”
Reviewed 21 April 2014

I really like the style of the restaurant, there is a lot of emphasis on the decor, which is really nice. The service is also lovely and attentive. The food however, is not that great. We had a variety of different dishes: the tofu wasn't seasoned at all and didn't have any flavour. The tempeh was completely dry. The tomato sauce tasted straight out of a can, and the mushrooms were definitely out of the can :(.

The place is really charming, but the food unfortunately does not impress.

“First time and we really liked it”
Reviewed 25 February 2014

It was my first time eating indonesian food and i really liked it. The place is pretty typical and the atmosphere is nice. The menu has a wide choice, they have meat dishes and fish dishes as well as many vegetarian dishes. The food was really tasty! The staff is friendly, nice and helpful.
I would recommend it!!

“Fantastic food!”
Reviewed 30 December 2013

We were really enjoying the fantastic food there and I would recommend the Rijstafels! The staff was very friendly but not always very attentive, so we had to wait some time before we could order something.

“If its Indonesian you want - this is it.”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

Located near Kleistpark Ubahn station, Tuk Tuk is a real treat, made all the more exciting by the range of dishes and the helpful, friendly staff who are always at hand to explain or recommend particular dishes. I had Gado Gado (a spicy beef dish) which was superb and my wife had a chicken dish with pineapple which she thought was delightful. A few beers and soft drinks later. we were deeply satisfied with our night's culinary experience. Definitely will be back!
While you are in the area you could have a pre or post meal cocktail in the Train Cocktail Bar right across from the Kleistpark station - also a good experience.
