First of all make sure that you are aware that this hotel is located in Spandau, not in Berlin. You'll need to spend 10 to 15 minutes to get to Spandau's train station and around 20 minutes to get to Spandau's city center.
Nevertheless, the area around the hotel is clean and safe and full of Turkish and other ethnic delis and caffees.
The hotel is run by Kazakh Germans so you'll hear a subtle accent, but don't worry: You'll be very welcomed very warmly and get very decent service.
We were lucky to stay in the main building, so we did not have to cross the inner yard. They have some smoking rooms in the hotel, it is critical for some people. Our double room was quite spacious with very wide kingsize bed. The hotel overall is quite clean, but a little bit torn.
Breakfast is included in your rate which is always good. It is simple but is still good as a start for a new day, no doubts.
To summarize: This hotel would be a good option for those whose activity is related with Spandau and/or Western part of Berlin. I'd rate it as "excellent" if it was some euros cheaper. Other than that, we were pretty content with our staying.More
