“Good night out: recommend”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

Thanks to reviews on TripAdvisor, we had an evening meal here and were glad that we did. The restaurant was nearly full on a Monday night in November, with a good atmosphere. The service was excellent, the food not outstanding but tasty and plentiful. Only two minutes walk at most from Ku-damm.

“Great food and service”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

Went to the branch in Schoenberg had an excellent mixed cold and hot mezze served with delicious bread and the most yummy cheese.. Really full of flavours. The mains were equally delicious and a nice red and bottled water total came to under 60€. The décor is nice the tables spacious and the staff very attentive. Highly recommend

“pita bread, on a wooden board, delivered with a flourish to table”
Reviewed 5 October 2013

We were taken there on our third night in Berlin, but it turns out there are 2 branches, so I don't know if it was the Charlottenburg or the Schoneberg restaurant.

Anway, we started with a board of about 8 different (vegetarian) meze, accompanied by pita bread, on a wooden board, delivered with a flourish to table - sometimes still completely puffed up in a spectacular fashion. The meze were fun, and very good, although the hummus seemed very bland.

To follow, we all had 'lamb cooked in a clay pot', 2 of us had the version with aubergine, and 2 the other version, without. I expected it to actually come in the clay pot, but instead it comes on a sort of balti dish. It was, however, extremely tender and tasty, if lacking in seasoning, apart from some very hot chilli peppers. Our main course was accompanied by 2 small bowls of rice pilaf, and 4 individual salads. (I don't know if they were included, or ordered separately.)

To complete the meal, we all had Turkish Rice Pudding - cold and creamy with a slightly burnt-sugar top. Good, but not wonderful.

The red house wine we had was OK, as were the espresso coffees, which were served with a complimentary glass of Raki.

The staff were very pleasant and professional, and looked after us well. I think the prices were reasonable, and I can recommend the restaurant.

“Great Turkish food in Berlin”
Reviewed 22 September 2013

We had dinner here on our 2nd night in berlin and im so glade we did! Its was one of the best Turkish meals i've had in a long time. Service was great and reasonably priced. The couple next to us had the mixed mezze starter to share and I'm so glade we didn't, it looked amazing but massive! we had hummus and a large turkish flat bread to start which was lovely and the mains were faultless. Its only a 3min walk from the station and the atmosphere was great.

Highly recommend if your staying in the area.

“Love this place”
Reviewed 13 September 2013

Since my company headquarters are in Berlin, we are there quite regularly and some place I always make a habit of eating is here. Its a small cozy little restaurant with really friendly and helpful servers. The food is so authentic and made with care. I don't know what the name for the bread they serve is but we always eat like 10 loaves. It goes so perfectly with all the appetizers, hummus and eggplant spread, etc. We always get a variety of dinner dishes and split them since none of us can ever decide on just one entree. If you like mediterrean/middle eastern/turkish food - this place is a must!
