I visited this restaurant in July with my boyfriend.
I booked this restaurant before our flight to Bremen after seeing it had be rated number 1 on trip advisor, it was our first visit to Bremen. Initially it was fully booked to my dismay but I later received an email to be told there was a cancellation and that they would accommodate us.
We ordered a taxi to the restaurant from our hotel, I don't know Bremen well since it was the first visit to this city but it was in a quiet street - straight away we knew it'd be a hidden gem.
Upon arrival we were politely welcomed and shown to our table. The restaurant is small and romantic, it was also full of German's which can only be a positive sign.
The food is absolutely divine. Having eaten at some of London's top Michelin star restaurants (not to mention overpriced) we were both in agreement that the quality, taste and presentation of the food here was possibly the best we've ever experienced.
We shared the starter - fennel and sander fish - delicious.
For main I ordered seared leg of wildester deer with savoy cabbage roasted almonds and sweet potatoes and balsamic, the meat was perfectly cooked, melting on tongue with intense flavours.
James ordered beef tenderloin with foie gras tortellini, chanterelle mushrooms and sugar snap peas and was equally delighted by his menu choice.
This is Michelin star quality without the price tag. I would return to Bremen only to dine at this amazing restaurant again.
an incredible evening - thanks.
