“Small is beautiful!”
Reviewed 8 March 2014 via mobile

We came to this charming place by chance on a Friday night only to be told we could not have a table as a big private party had taken the Bistro for the evening. However, as all of this was so charmingly explained we decided to make a reservation for lunch today- the only seats available for our preferred time were at the bar. Great! We enjoyed a delicious meal and shared a pudding. The food, the ambience, the charming Mrs. Barbara Schmidt chatting to us in between looking after a fully booked Bistro, was a wonderful experience. Prices are on the high side but if one enjoys every morsel there is no reason to grumble!!!
The adjacent delicatessen is well worth a visit for those who are visiting Bremen and are in self catering accommodation.

“Excellent”
Reviewed 11 December 2013

My wife and I had lunch here in December 2013 and found the food and service to be excellent. It is quite expensive but I would consider it to be value for money. It can get pretty busy and there isn't a lot of room, even between diners, and I was also a little disappointed with the two wines that we tried, but overall it was a nice experience and I would go back.

“Gatronomic heaven”
Reviewed 16 November 2013

This is trully exceptional place-you would not actually even guess that the meals could be so good here . It is the store with delicateses, you can buy cheese, pate, sauces, oils, wine....there . They have just very few tables there, so it does not look like in the real restaurant. Menu is quite short but everything we had was TOP quality, incredibly well prepared with the great taste. I can not say that the personnel was the most attentive one, I would say just that they were professional but not exactly warm. However, they seemed to be warmer to guests, which looked like regular ones. But the food was the best I ever had. Chestnut cream soup with truffles was better then the one I had in one of really good Provencal restaurants, lobster spagetti abolutely delicious as well as salad. So what to say- I would stand voluntarly an hour in the queue just to have such fantastic diner again.

“Delicious dinner and dessert”
Reviewed 15 August 2013

We were five people visiting this restaurant in August 2013, and we were all delighted with the food we ate. The menu is quite small, which probably allows the chefs to focus on planning and preparing them to perfection. The desserts were also delicious. The staff were very polite and attentive. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you have the opportunity.
