Owner description: Friedrich the Great's amazing 18th-century palace, reminiscent of the grandeur of Versailles, is surrounded by a magnificent 600-acre park.

Since we were already in the park we decided to visit this little palace. Our ticket had scheduled time and we waited about 30 minutes to get in.I paid 3 euro to take pictures inside but no flash is aloud.
Palace has only 8 rooms and audio addresses each one of them in detail.Interesting items, paintings and furniture as well as its history.
Garden was also worth spending time and delight to the eye. Worth visiting.

This palace is but one palace in Potsdam. It is one of the first built there and smaller than the New Palace. The tour is through a single story of the building. An audio guide is provided that is informative. Frederick the Great had the palace built and it reflects his love of things French and the rococo style. It is very ornate and fruity.

Timed entry tickets, with audio guide is very informative, included in the price. it takes about 30 minutes to go through the rooms.
Lots of great gilding and rococo details.
The gardens are also wonderful and huge.
Don't skip the separate painting gallery building. they have an excellent Caravaggio- though the pieces are hung opposite windows so the glare can be frustrating.
Don't skip the funny chinoiserie tea house! it's very odd but interesting.
Lots of fun stuff to see here

This small castle is most impressive looked upon from the fountain at the bottom of the stairs leading up. The audioguided tour through the only 12 rooms take 30 minutes and the speak gives you a lot of info about other things. We had pre-booked a time-slot for our visit and could proceed directly to the entrance. However the place was quite crowded and we had both to walk in line and wait.
