Delightful throughout the entire meal. The restaurant has two set menus and you can order 3 - 6 courses from each menu for a set price or pay al a carte for each item ordered. The restaurant also recommends a particular wine with each dish available by the glass or bottle.
We were served by an English speaking gentleman who appeared to be the person who prepared the wine selections. He was friendly, attentive, efficient, and, when not busy, talkative.
The food was haute cuisine with a lovely presentation. We began with a complimentary amuse bouche (tuna roll with cucumber foam). I ordered the foie gras plate that included a creme brulee of foie gras, traditional foie gras, foie gras sorbet, and a layered cake of flavored foie gras. It was wonderful! My wife enjoyed a starter of smoked monkfish with avocado and grilled watermelon. Both my wife and I had a chicken dish as our main entree, which was very good. We also both enjoyed a fabulous dessert of assorted plum with semolina and Macadamia nuts.
After dinner we chatted up the waiter regarding his wine selections. He offered us a complimentary glass of white Chauteauneuf du Pape. Clearly this one of the very best restaurants in Potsam. It is a bit expensive, but worth every penny!
