This attraction is really quite something and not to be missed. I was amazed at the sheer magnitude and complexity of the models. You can wander the place for hours on end.

Really surprised at the large area of modelling , the detail was superb but the crowds were also large as we visited on a Saturday in school holidays. Maybe not the cleverest of things.
Well worth visiting though and allow 3 hours

This was our second visit, having first been here in 2010. Since then the Airport project has finally been completed and it is absolutely superb. Alongside the more established areas such as Switzerland/USA/Hamburg et al, it makes for a splendid several hours.

Miniatur Wunderland is a must visit for everyone, regardless of age. You don't need to be a model railway or plane fan. The whole place is a fantastic affirmation of the human spirit and dedication to providing pleasure for people.

Miss it at your peril!

Reviews of this experience all seem to be good or excellent and my opinion is that they are all correct. A unique experience and a full card of pictures. Not only a railroad experience but a recreation of Germany landmarks and regions with some international (Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Bryce, South Beach). Airplane takeoff is a video experience. Very crowded and requires a prebooked timed ticket or if a walk up purchase, you will be asked to wait until your time (50 minutes on a late Sunday afternoon). It is located in an old warehouse district with numerous other attractions (the dungeon seems also to be busy). Across a canal from the oldest street in Hamburg with excellent restaurants(but you need to know where to look).
