“Good for what it is”

This is a good value budget hotel. The double room we had on the 3rd floor was bright, clean and comfortable without road noise. No frills but with everything necessary and enough room not to feel cramped. The bed was quite hard and would probably have benefited from a mattress topper but this didn't stop us from sleeping well. The shower room is small but adequate. Liquid hand/hair/body wash is provided as are enough towels. Our room was nicely tidied and cleaned every day during our 5 night stay.
Staff were helpful and polite. Parking is either at the front of the hotel, where you can stay all day or at the back in an open air gravel area. You need a ticket from the hotel to put in the windscreen if parking here. In both cases parking is free.
Breakfast, which costs less than in other hotels, has the usual cereals, cold meat/cheese, breads, eggs, juice and tea and coffee.
This was a convenient place for us to stay while visiting family nearby but it would also be convenient for anyone wanting to see Hamburg city and harbour.

I was back in this hotel for the umpteenth time, but this time after more than a year!

Well, while everything else remained more or less the same- cheap rooms ( rates are around 51 euros single) with spotlessly clean bed sheets and linen, a TV , free wireless internet and a small attached bathroom, I found a stench emanating from the bathroom after I checked in at about 10pm.

The smell was quite strong, and being tired after a transcontinental flight- I did not bother to call the reception and tell them to do something about it...in any case I was checking out next morning.

Further, while I was still changing after a bath next morning, I could sense the door opening and a burly man entering my room!! After seeing me, he just said "Housekeeping" and stayed away...

Can they at least knock before entering the room!!??

So not only the hotel, but the service also seems to be getting frayed at the edges.

Room Tip: Choose higher floors

We had a nice Stay in this B&B Hotel during our Visit in Hamburg. Nice colored Room Design and Room was good for a short Stay. Small Breakfast Service, but Bread and coffee was very tasty and fresh made.
In Comparison with other Hotels, there was a good Value and we can recommend this for short Trips.

Very depressing experience. Room facing street extremely noisy (Stresemannstrasse). Rooms have outdated finishes and are very small. For a small surcharge we stayed at the h25 hotel. World's apart. Staff at B&B was also terrible the second time around. Nasty German Lady talked down on us and was condescending when we refused to rent family room with our 4 yo daughter (not an issue 7 days prior). Never again. For the exact same price we stayed at a design hotel with the friendliest staff ever. B&B Hamburg is a dump. Worst staff ever.

Room Tip: HOTEL h25. If in hotel B&B Hamburg ask for room facing back yard on upper floors. Only plus: fre...

In a city like Hamburg with high prices even for low-end accommodations this modern und pretty new hotel offers a surprising comfortable stay for a budget price. The rooms are basic furnished but quite pleasant. The modern bathrooms have only the absolute necessary stuff. If you need more, you can get it at the reception, like a hairdryer - for a deposit. Since this a chain and all the hotels seem to be more or less furnished and decorated the same way, you know exactly what you get. The breakfast menu is good and worth the extra money especially since there is no other place to go in the vicinity. Unfortunately, there are long waiting lines. To avoid them, get up early or sleep longer. WiFi is no problem, and behind the hotel is ample parking on a somehow gated parking lot. If you don't arrive by car on your own, by all means use a taxi for arrival and for departure. It's a ten minutes walk to the nearest Metro station, which will be very strenious with a suitcase in tow. It seems that younger people, tourists as well as business people, flock to this hotel. But it is as accommodating for older folks like me as it is for younger ones.

For the price fine but understand few amenities are offered. Generic soap container for face, body and hair, no clock, three thin towels but no face/hands wash cloth and no hair dryer. Breakfast very basic and gets boring if you are staying more than a few days. Staff are friendly and helpful. Multipule electric adaptors would be helpful to charge computers, phones and run a hair clock or hair dryer.
I am writing this review on my last of 7 nights and a punk band with electronic accoustics are playing across the street. So, if staying on a Saturday, request and internal room.
