On a recent visit to Hamburg, I visited Hadley's cafe for breakfast and dinner. Firstly, the atmosphere is extremely welcoming - lovely comfy armchairs in gorgeous colours, contemporary and cosy at the same time. Service was excellent, very friendly staff and I was served quickly. Food at dinner was simple, tasty, reasonably priced. I took the house wine (red) which I found to be quite good. Breakfast was also excellent / great choice, lovely bread, abundant portions and great coffee! I couldn't really fault this place, really liked it and really recommend it for a good, hearty breakfast or simple dinner. My only criticism could be that there was nothing typically "Hamburg" on the dinner menu, which I would have liked to have tried as a visitor to the city. If you do want to go, especially for breakfast, booking a table is a must as they get really busy!
