“Very good option for oysters and gourmet cuisine, still off the beaten track”
Reviewed 4 February 2011

The so called "harbour city" is although it is in progress since 8 years still a long way off from any other place of interest in Hamburg. But there is a lot to do in itself. This restaurant is in a very informative and huge museum where anybody can find its own model of a ship, either vessels, ships-of-the-line or cruise-ships. There is also a ship made of Lego for youngsters. The restaurant is also operating after the museum is closed. As starter it is wise to select half a dozen of oysters whereof 7 different types are available and the quality and freshness is beyond question. For those who do not like it, there are also fish- meat or veggie starters. The main courses are few but all delicious. The same for the deserts! A good qualitative high and reasonable priced wine selection is available, the french service manager is a bit clunky but his assistants are very polite and well trained. I would go there again!
