Stayed in this hotel for three nights whilst visiting Hamburg for a concert. Couldn't fault the friendly staff, all questions we had were answered with a friendly smile and anything they couldn't answer was quickly looked up on the Internet.
The hotel is very central with numerous bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Whether you're looking to visit city centre shops or the Reeperbhan or the harbour area, all we're within striking distance on foot. The bar / restaurant within the hotel is only open at weekends, so be prepared to walk for a quiet drink. Breakfasts are very good, plenty choices and good quality.
There is a fridge in reception for water or beer etc and this is open at all times but other than that, no tea or coffee making / fridge facilities in room. The rooms themselves are modern, comfortable and in our case fairly spacious. On a reasonable budget, we couldn't fault this hotel and would recommend!!

We found this a good hotel for the price we paid. Very close to several u Bahn stations (about 5 minutes). Walking distance to some Hamburg attractions. A few restaurants close by. Room was small but tidy - all we needed. did not have any problems at all - a very good stay. Will definately be back next time we stay in Hamburg.

I stayed for 3 nights. My first night was interrupted between 2am and 6am when the couple next door argued and shouted and drank and watched TV loudly. Fortunately I moved rooms the following night.

Both of the rooms lacked sufficient light - there is one table light per room and one window. The second room's light switch didn't work making getting in at night a challenge.

Decor is very 1970s in all of the brownness and needs modernisation. The TV is basic.

The bar opens on Friday and Saturday night otherwise it is shut and the only service is an overpriced fridge.

I'll not be stopping again.

Room Tip: Find another hotel.

This hotel is very handy for public transport and the Reeperbahn and Millentor Stadium, while being located on a nice street across from a park.
The breakfast was good and serving was extended to 11am at weekends, instead of 10.30am, so you could enjoy a long lie. All staff were friendly and helpful and the room got a good clean every day. The room was fine, decent size and we found the bed comfortable. Having a duvet each in the double bed meant no stealing the covers!
As noted by others the TV doesn't have any english language channels, but the free wifi worked fine. We couldn't work out how to operate the free in room safe but to be honest the hotel felt very safe anyway, with 24 hour manned reception, so we weren't too worried.
The only negative, as noted by other reviewers, is that the noise insulation isn't great and you can hear your neighbours coming and going but this wasn't a huge issue and we were never woken during the night. All in all a good option if you are looking for something in St Pauli that's reasonably priced but decent quality.

Positives: Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was very good, location is excellent. Rooms are very clean and very warm perfect for the freezing weather.
Negative: Beds are very uncomfortable. Room could do with a bit of redecorating. TV has no English language channels, not a must have but even a news channel wouldn't go astray.

Very good for being a fairly cheap hotel. The hotel is situated in central Hamburg although not in the absolute centre. The staff at reception and in the breakfast room was very nice and helpful. The rooms are satisfactory, no luxury but clean. Our only problem was the thin walls. If you don't want to get your sleep interrupted by people coming and going next door, bring earplugs.
The breakfast was very good.
Getting to the hotel from the airport only costs 1,90€! Take the S1 train to Landungsbrücke station, then switch to metro U3, get off at the next stop: St Pauli. Use the exit towards Reeperbahn-Holstenwall. Very easy and fast (about 50 mins).

Get a HVV-card and use the public transportation as much as you want. We used the number 112-bus (bus-stop right ouside the hotel) to go to Hauptbahnhof (Central Railway Station) when we wanted to get into town for shopping etc. and back to the hotel. So easy and fast. Very convenient!'

When you're hungry or need groceries, go to the square Grosneumarkt (5-10 mins walk from the hotel). We found several nice restaurants there and the area is very safe so it's completely ok to walk there.

Room Tip: The single rooms have very thin walls as the hotel probably made 2 small rooms out of a bigger one.
