We were some friends staying at Hotel Commodore of the New Years weekend. The hotel is located at St Paulie which is in walking distance of both Reperbahn and the shopping districts. If you prefer not to walk, the subway station St Paulie is located right by the hotel and will take you throughout Hamburg. When booking the hotel, we chose Commodore because of its central location and the room rate. Rooms were very expensive in Hamburg over New Years, and Commodore had by far the most reasonable rate. The hotel is very nice and inviting, and the rooms we stayed in seemed to be newly refurbished, but varied in size. I think the larger room was an upgrade, so if you are looking for a bit more space reserve a superior room; however there was no faulting the size of the standard room either. I was very surprised at the good standard of the hotel. It was not what I expected from the price at all. Very positive surprise!
You could purchase breakfast for Euro 9, however we rather went to the city and had breakfast there. So I can’t comment on the breakfast. You could purchase tea/coffee/drinks at the reception in addition to the restaurant.
They have their own parking and we were able to leave the car there and then forget about it for the entire stay.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hamburg.More
