I stayed 3 nights at the Hotel, the room is very small, no bar, no restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, although I arrived back mid-afternoon on the Wednesday, the room had not been made up by 3pm. The remote for the television did not work and its a long time since I have watched a television that old. There was no real working desk space because the television is sat on the corner of the desk. No tea making facilities or fridge. In other words the room is very small and basic. The bed is uncomfortable with no spare pillow, just a quilt, turn the radiator up or you will freeze! The location is right next to the station and the local area is used by ladies of the night' if you get my meaning. As they say you get what you pay for....a good point, enjoy your breakfast its not bad.

Room Tip: Not a real hotel..so cannot possibly comment, corridors were noisey all night. Lower down maybe be b...

Stayed here one night with my sister after a night at the Generator Hostel. The hostel was fun and funky and obviously set up for young people however the price escalated considerably for the Fri & Sat nights so we moved to Eden. The room was cheaper, more comfortable and the breakfast was basic but also better than the Generator. Eden is located just a block away from the Generator and as close to the station.

Eden Hotel is Central to everything. It has a free breakfast included but not that much variety as you would find in other Hotels like Intercity. There is no Restaurant or a bar where you can have drink. I would not recoend this place in winternut ist cheap and value formoney if you are a backpacker.

Room Tip: For backpacers only but I would still prefer the Option of a youth hostel over this one

The hotel is in a good position near to the main railway station. I would class it as a budget hotel, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was adequate but in need of renovation. The staff were friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was included in the price, it was buffet style and there was plenty of fresh fruit, bread, eggs, cold meat, tea and coffee. There were no facilities in the room for making drinks but this was reflected in the overall price which was a lot less than other hotels in the area. There are a few decent bars on the main road opposite the station.

Hotel in need of renovation. Not very clean, breakfast not worth having. Only good thing the hotel is 5 mins walk to main train station. The area is very run down and pubs very seedy. No tea/coffee facilities or fridge. Could not get tea/coffee or any drink in the hotel apart from breakfast time.

Room Tip: Book somewhere else

very old, not perfectly clean, but i guess ok if you have a low budget and are just there for 24 hrs!
it was a graduate program trip to Hamburg so we didn't get to pick our hotels!.. its nothing that i would have picked for myself!...

The location is the best about this hotel - just two minutes’ walk away from Main Station.

The hotel is really old so don't expect much.
The room was small (but ok for me since I just need it to sleep) and it smelled funny (the window was open all day to avoid it and even so the smell as always there). It was necessary to close the bathroom door during shower to avoid a fire alarm situation.
Also the mattress and pillow were not very comfortable.
The wireless internet was included, what is good, but it was a bit slow (sometimes I lost the signal, maybe because the room was far from the router)

They charged the full stay in my credit card upfront (without my authorization). Not a big problem for me but the credit card was used just to book the room. I could have decided to use other mean of payment...

Also the price was very high for what you get, but in Hamburg all hotels cost a lot.

In general the hotel was ok for what I intended that was just to spend the nights, but it was really overpriced, especially when you see that it needs to be renovated.
