Stayed here at end of September wth husband who was attending a conference at the university which was a 10 minute walk away. Even the standard rooms are large with 6' wide bed, desk, 3 chairs (1 easy with footstool), plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space, mini bar, and huge shower room with bidet. The windows opened on to a juliet balcony which had an automatic blind to shade the room when the sun shone (startled me first time it came down) although it could be controlled from the room. the room was very clean and our bedding was changed every other day. No tea/coffee making equipment but not a problem as previous reviewers had mentioned this so I took my own. Internet was free in room and there were 2 terminals with a printer by reception if you didn't have your own computer. Lovely spa with big pool and friendly staff. Breakfast was luxurious with a choice of Continental or full English from an eat as much as you want buffet with eggs cooked to order, fresh fruit juice, sparkling wine, and a large choice of interesting breads and pastries. We dined out with friends but I noticed that the restaurants were busy with local customers every evening which is usually a good sign.
