Genuine design hotel in a very tasteful seaside style. We were surprised about the lively atmosphere considering the fact that the hotel had opened just 6 weeks prior to our stay. Various original ideas i.e. elevators in transport box look, a vinyl library for leisure-time DJs and a roof-top sauna incorporating a former ship container with a beautiful view over the entire harbor city including the cruise terminal and the stunning Elbphilharmonie opera house. There is still quite a bit of construction going on in the area but noise was luckily not an issue. Other interesting features included free available iPads, bicycles and Minis for hotel guests. Limited hotel parking spaces in the nearby parking garage.

The service team was very pleasant and always keen on helping. We had dinner at the restaurant called "Heimat" (=home country) one night and were very pleased with what we got, including good down-to-earth international-style dishes with ingredients coming mostly from local suppliers and mainly organic. My wife had the lamb sausage while I chose the delicious burger as a main dish. The waiters and waitresses were attentive and the overall value for the money quite decent. The awesome breakfast included freshly pressed orange juice, delicious bread rolls and some of the best scrambled eggs ever! Both available space and number of tables are rather limited though so it can be a bit hectic during the peak hours. The price of 16 euros is not exactly cheap but the quality is clearly above-average (and certainly much better than any big international hotel chain I have been to). I would certainly recommend trying it the first day to get an impression!

Our room was located in the 6th floor towards the back so no particular view to brag about. However, it was very quiet and the style was exceptional - especially the modern and tasteful bathroom design were impressive. We slept on a French-style bed (perhaps a little narrow for some couples) with rugged bed-linen (very compatible with the overall design theme, but perhaps a little rough for some folks). Cool brand for soap, shampoo and shower gel - all organic - developed exclusively for 25h hotels called "Stop the water while using me" (we caught ourselves following this advice which is a good thing we would say). Other cute details included a hot-water bottle and a stuffed animal on our bed.

Overall a very pleasant experience and we will definitely consider it again for our next visit to Hamburg!

We stayed for two nights and were extremely impressed with the service, design and additional features this hotel has to offer. After a friendly and professional check-in we had a drink at the bar, where we decided to play the game 'I spy' to find all the design features of this area of the hotel. We quickly realised that a huge amount of thought has gone into this hotel and it is all related to Hamburg as a 'harbour city'. This theme goes all the way through the hotel, to the lounge and 'communications-room' on level 1 and the rooms themselves. It was a fun experience.
The rooms offer everything you need for a leisure or a business trip. Free Wi-Fi, TV, comfortable bed, sound-proof windows and even a '25hours sleep-sheep' in case you have forgotten your favourite cuddly toy.
Very helpful to explore Hamburg are the free bikes that the hotel offers. Simply ask reception for the keys and off you go for as long as you want. Or take the key for the Mini, which is also free (for a period of 2-3 hours).
All up, we had a fantastic stay at the 25hours hafencity hotel and cannot recommend it enough

We spent a July weekend at this hotel with my sister and her husband. As soon as you walk into the front lobby you know this is not going to be your typical hotel. It is located on the harbour so everything has a nautical theme. Our rooms overlooked the water and their design was like nothing we had seen before with fun wallpaper and even a little stuffed monkey on our bed. The hotel is a short walk to the subway station that takes you to the Raperbahn. We woke up with the Queen Mary in our window on Sunday morning. Very cool to see...its HUGE!!! We had a few drinks at the lobby bar and the service was great!

This new buildt hotel was designed with loving care for detail.
All interior closely linked to the Hambour harbour but the location in Hafen City is now one of the most trendy places and very close to the new Elbphilharmony, Hamburg's new prstigious Operahouse. Very clean hotel, very quiet rooms, some with great harbour view. Great modern bathroom and shower with some unexpected gadgets, that you will only find at harbours.

Nice good restaurant in a type of german bistro style.

All in all highly recomended.

Room Tip: ask for top floor rooms with harbour view

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is brand new, very smart and well designed, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We were a bit concerned about the location, but you can easily walk into the centre of town, and the Hafencity area is interesting anyway. Bus no 6 goes from the Hauptbahnhof right to the hotel. The hotel also has bicycles available, which were a great way of getting around. We would definitely stay there again if we go back to Hamburg.

Stayed at The 25Hours Hotel Hafencity for one night - July 11-12. Room 302. Being on a kids free holiday we like to spend a little extra to pamper ourselves so we booked the largest and most expensive room on offer - The Captains Cabin - Opening rate was 145 EUR. As previous reviews have pointed out the hotel is a bit out of the way. Having been to Hamburg numerous times and stayed at numerous hotels in Hamburg (incl. Sofitel, Marriott, Side), we knew that so no surprise there. It is only a short walk to Hafencity centre which is a must see when in Hamburg. The Hotel is brand new and wasn't finished when we were there - there where still some work going on on the sixth floor and the staff appeared somewhat insecure and unexperienced.
The good parts first : Wifi was free and fast. Parking was free if you parked on the right side of the hotel (very nice since parking at some of the other hotels I mentioned were around 28 EUR per night. Breakfast was really boring but not the most expensive we have had (14 EUR)
The bad parts : Having payed a 50 % premium over the standard room rate I would have expected a lot more than we got. Please look at the photos and I think you will agree that any Captain would have been somewhat disappointed. For the money we payed we could have gotten at much nicer room at Sofitel or Side. The whole room felt IKEA like and to top it off there were construction work on two sides of the hotel. So opening the windows from 7 am. to 5 pm. is not an option.
Beds were rock hard and the bedclothes made of a special weaving that wasn't very nice to sleep in. We had a look at the sauna on the sixth floor - I am not 100 percent sure but I think I noticed that they would charge an extra 10 EUR if you wanted to use the sauna. If that is correct then don't. It is nothing more than a small sauna and a terrace with a nice view.
All in all the concept is not very well executed and overpriced. It would be a fine backpacker hostel - trying to be trendy and young - but looking at the pricing and the location it will never be. I would strongly recommend to find a room somewhere else. So many nicer places to stay in Hamburg.

Stayed here on the first night it opened. We were over for the Haye/Klitschko fight. This is a brand new hotel situated right on the river where the cruise ships roll in.

First impressions were excellent, very chic and trendy. The rooms are of good size and the decor is very modern. The bathroom is nice with an excellent shower.

On the mezzanine there is a room with record players (remember those?) with a selection of jazz, funk and soul records (remember those?) for you to play as you wish.

The food is excellent, albeit a tad expensive €13 for burger and fries!!!

Being located on the docks its a bit of a walk into the town center but by no means impossible.

When the future development of the area is complete this hotel will be a gem.
