This is a lovely way to spend a day with family and a picnic in the park. Beautiful and serene you will not want to leave. End it with a ferry back to the city center.

What a lovely place to meet with friends on a summer day. You can have barbecue, some beers or play some football. Its a very nice public green area, where everybody is positive and relaxed. If you dont know where to go on a summerday for picknick, try this one. We had some awesome days there.

Visited often and walked a lot with my family, when my child was very little.

Very beautiful in spring and summer.
But also beautiful in autumn and winter.
It means you can enjoy the beauty of this landscaped park anytime throughout a year!

Worth to visit!!

Went on a walk on a beautiful Sunday in spring. Park is easily accessible from the Teufelsbruecke ferry stop. It is very beautiful English landscape garden, which (like all Hamburg parks) fills up with people, children and dogs on a beautiful day, yet keeps a very calm atmosphere. You have a beautiful view of the river Elbe and can go for a gentle stroll.
Check out the restaurant T'on Peerstall on the Hochrad street next to the park, great place for local food!

With Jenischpark, it is one of the most beautiful places in Hamburg. The house built in Neoclassical style 19º- century is simply magnificent, beautiful, full of details, the decor is amazing. Built in 1834, it was the residence of former Senator Martin Jenisch, and now part of the Altona Museum and is open to the public. On the terrace has a very charming cafe. You wonder how it was living here at that time, it’s quite interesting. The park where lies the palace is very charming, full of tracks, really quiet, perfect for a walk or picnic, and has views to River Elbe.

A lovely park located to the west of the city centre. There are some woodland walks and stretches of open lawn to picnic on with views of the Elbe and the grand house (now art gallery) whose grounds this once belonged to. There is a popular small cafe in the grounds near the house.

This is a lovely park. So peaceful to sit on the lawn and look out at the Elbe on a nice day. I didn't visit the Jenisch House or the Ernst Barlach House in the park ... but I'm looking forward to that next time I visit Hamburg!

Jenischpark is a lovely spot for weekend trips with a wonderful view of Elbe. You can also visit museums inside or have a cup of coffee at the cafe of Jenisch Haus. It is 15 minutes walk to reach from S Bahn stop at Klein Flottbek.

Being in the western part of Hamburg, which by itself is very green, the expectation from this park was high. However, I was really disappointed visiting it.

Amazingly this park does not have any section of flowers. It is all about trees and lawns and a couple of small streams. This place is good for jogging, or training your dogs, nothing more.

Could have been much better, given the area it has and the proximity it has with the Elbe's beach.

I think this is the finest park in europe! The view to the river is unbelievable! The point of interest is the white jenisch in the center of the park.
