What I love about Die Bank is that you can wander in at any time in the afternoon/evening and just have a drink or go for a full a la carte meal. The building is stunning, decor is great and the atmosphere is fabulous. As a rule the service is very good, as is the food. However it's not perfect and I feel that the price is justified more by the location than the food. On our last visit I had a first rate dish of grilled trout with 'spaghetti'-potato, egg yolk & caviar. It was excellent. On the other hand, my husband had a piece of sea bass that wouldn't have been enough for our cat. He'd eaten it within a couple of minutes and was still starving - and it cost €36. Followed by the waiter asking if everything was OK, explaining that it wasn't and then.......nothing. Why ask? Best thing about Die Bank is the location & atmosphere, worst thing is the value for money.
