“Budget accomodation”

We stayed for 2 nights in July 2014. Not a great location, a €20 cab ride into the Reeperbahn. We lost our room key one night (admittedly our fault) but the hotel reception would not let us into our room so we slept in the hotel corridors. Weather was hot when we stayed and the rooms were unbearable without air conditioning. Rooms basic at best. Breakfast was good hence the 2 stars and not 1. Would personally avoid.

This hotel is located near U-Bahn station Burgstrasse. The room was clean and quiet. Hotel has a lift. Breakfast is rich (ham, cheese, fruit, vegetables, müsli, yogurt, scrambled eggs, poached eggs, sausages) with drink (coffee, tea, water, milk, juice).

Room Tip: Room 506 is a large.

Super clean rooms. Clean bathrooms with great shower pressure. Seemingly endless hot water. Free Wi-Fi and a bottle of sparkling water everyday. Also, free breakfast until 10 AM, not your usual packaged muffin. Authentic german breakfast with sausages, eggs, and delicious cakes! A true find for such a great price. Also, the front desk people are a dream. We forgot a bag of gifts for our friends and family, they kept it safe for us until they sent it back to us in the States. Everything we would ask for, they were super helpful and very generous with their time. We love Hotel Nevada!

Stayed here for an overnight stop during an exhibition in Hamburg, having spent €170 for a night here i was expecting something nicer.

The room itself had definitely seen better days in my opinion, i had a twin bedded room and the beds were the narrowest beds i had slept in for some time, not to mention short, being 6ft 2" my head was touching the headboard and feet the foot board. the mattress was comfortable enough though.

Some very interesting looking stains in the corner of the room, i didn't investigate too closely...

The curtains didn't actually fill the gap of the window which meant lots of light came in to the room, but that didn't matter as you weren't as sleep any way, because there is no AC and the weather in Hamburg was lovely, it meant the room was very warm, so you had to open the windows. My room was at the front of the building, directly on the street, there was so much traffic noise, or even people shouting, that sleep really was very difficult.

However, on the plus side, the shower was very good, a powerful 'rain' style shower, and teh bathroom was very clean. If only the rest of the room was like the bathroom, i would have scored it higher.

There was a good selection of food for breakfast, everything tasted fresh.

Location wise, its a €15 taxi ride each way to the centre of Hamburg.

Overall i wouldn't stay here again, and for the price we had to pay it was awful, however, if you are looking for a budget hotel out of town, then i guess it would be OK, just was not to my taste. They normally charge €69 for the room, but because of the exhibition, they had added €100's to the cost. All the hotels in Hamburg had the same attitude towards ripping the business traveller off, so i don't blame these guys, but i wont stay here again.

Room Tip: I dont know what they are like, but try a room not overlooking the very noisy road

The rooms themselves are in need of some minor maintainance in places BUT this is one of the friendliest and most pleasnt places I have ever stayed in.
The staff are very helpfull...providing a corkscrew and glass for me to drink my own wine in my room....they were also happy to order take away food and let you eat it in the Bar/ Restaurent area.
They even cooked me a meal one night...the restaurent does`nt appear to have any menu but they cook what ever you fancy if needed.
The rooms have great shower rooms...free internet...fridge etc. The beds are comfy but a little bit short.
All in all a good place to stay for a visit to Hamburg.

The room was relatively comfortable and silent. Room decoration is very simple but efficient. It could be cleaner. Staff are friendly and helpful. My major problem in this hotel was its wifi. It disconnected all the time and I needed to call to reception to connect it which was a bit annoying. Breakfast was relatively good although you expect better breakfast in German hotels. It is not very near to subway station and if you have a lot of luggage don't choose this hotel. Totally, this hotel is a bit expensive. I paid about 83 euro each night. The value for this hotel is at most 65 Euros.

We recently stayed a few night in this hotel on our journey back from a long business trip. The hotel itself is relatively new and has beautiful decoration. I would certainly recommend it if your ever in the Hamburg area.

Hotel staff were very helpful and the breakfast buffet was great.
