We spent one night in this hotel. The room was large and the beds comfortable. The owner couple was aiming to please and a very nice breakfast buffet was a good start in the new day. The location adjacent to the park and within walking distance to all major attraction is a bonus.

We just got back from a weekend stay at this hotel, which I chose mainly because of the many positive Tripadvisor reviews, and it absolutely deserves its Tripadvisor status of being number 1 Hotel in Bad Homburg.

Mr and Mrs Werner are charming hosts, and are clearly proud of their hotel. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel welcome, and it is immediately obvious that this is a special place in which to stay.

Our room was very spacious and bright, there was a large double bed, although it had two single mattresses pushed together on the double bed base. Everything very clean and of good quality. It seems a bit unfair to make a small criticism of such a nice hotel, but maybe the room and bathroom are starting to look a little dated, or maybe I have stayed in too many ultra modern hotels in recent years, and it just appeared that way.

Free wifi is provided via a code from reception, the connection was very fast and reliable. Free bottles of water are provided in the room, and replenished each day. The hotel also provides free fruit in the main reception area, also sweets just inside the front door. They are only small things, but they all add up to the good feeling you get staying in this hotel.

Breakfast is a lovely experience, the breakfast room is bright and attractive, the breakfast buffet very well presented and the food very fresh and nice. I absolutely recommend the home made museli.

There is no evening dinner or bar in the hotel, but that is not a problem, there are many eating and drinking options close by in Bad Homburg.

Location of the hotel is very good, you are right at the edge of the Kur Park, although on the far side of it from the main part of Bad Homburg, you can look upon this as a negative or a positive, depending on what you want from your stay, it is very peaceful here, although the Steigenberger and Maritim will put you closer to the action. We walked back to the hotel from the main street in about 15 minutes (through the park). Another point about the location is that the Kur Royal and Taunus Therme Spa's are within walking distance. We were given 2 for 1 day passes by the hotel for Taunus Therme for as many days as we wanted them, this alone will save you 24-26 Euro per visit, depending on the day of the week.

To summarise, it was a pleasure to stay here, it is one of the hotels that you will always remember, and it was a shame that we only stayed for 2 nights, we wished it had been for much longer. We will return here for sure. Highly recommended.

I read it on the door. And I would agree that it is a true. The only thing I didn't like much was a pillow: I am used to ortopedic ones and may be this was a reason. And what I liked:
1) Location. It takes 20 minutes by foot to the train station (10 minutes out of them are through the park) or 5 minutes by taxi (6 euros). The location is in the heart of the park so I slept very well and enjoyed every morning walkings before the breakfest.
2) Breakfast - all is natural and healthy and fresh. I am mad at food and usually it is difficult to satisfy me. There I felt myself totally satisfied. And my favorite dish was a home-made yougurt with fresh fruites like raspberries and whortleberry. My friends prefered more meat and eggs - and they were satisfied too.
3) Free fresh fruits - so you can take fruites with you. It is a great bonus for me as I never eat fruites during breakfest but like to eat them a bit later. And I never saw that hosts took so much care about health and habbits of their guests.
4) Wonderful hosts. I had to mention it first. So it is a family run hotel and they eally take care about you.
5) Room. It was big enough and really nice. Great view from windows! My friend in other room had a teapot.
6) They have big umbrellas for guests - that is really useful when you visit Germany in autemn.
7) Everything was really clean.

The reception was friendly (also English spoken). The room was very spacious with a nice en-suite showerroom. There is free bottled water available and the breakfast was very varied and of good quality with the best fruitsalad ever and nice rolls. It was in a quiet location near the lovely park and town centre with off-road parking and quite easy access to mayor routes to Frankfurt or the Taunus. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are plenty of those nearby. In the evening the reception is locked down so although they provide drinks you don’t feel inclined to try and get any. The only negative for us where the rather hard towels. We are planning our next stay there already.
