On the positive side, it is in a great location - right across the street from the park and an easy walk through the park to the shopping strip. It's nice and quiet. The rooms and bathroom are clean. The breakfast is great. We highly recommend it. It includes eggs and sausage as well as cold cuts, cheese, cereals, fruit and yoghurt. And of course, tea and coffee. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my room has free WIFI. We thought it was in the lobby only. Also pillows: they have a soft and a hard one so you have a choice (unless you are sharing a room). There is a scale in the room - which is great for weighing your suitcase prior to getting to the airport. But strangely enough no iron in the room (maybe if you called the front desk)

WARNING: there is no elevator.

I didn't give it a higher rating because I found the staff a little unfriendly at first. When we called asking for directions (as our GPS wasn't working), we were greeted with sarcasm. Also on our last night in the hotel, the fire detector low battery alarm chirped several times (at least that is what I thought it was). As a result, I didn't get the best sleep that night.

Parking is 5Euro per day.

Room tip: Caution there are no elevators

We were taking part in an event at the International school and being 2mins walk away from the school was perfect. It is also on the edge of the forest, which is nice for walking or running. There is also a tram stop right outside the hotel if you want to visit Frankfurt. The bedrooms were very clean and the buffet breakfast was good. The only negative point was the bar, which was found in the cellar and was a bit dark and dingy and had an awful drain smell, which we coudl only put with for one drink.

Sam and his Uncle are the best part of Hotel Haus am Park. You're received well, treated well through your stay and you end up feeling looked after well. My wife and I checked out today and want to say 'thank you' to the hotel staff. Good option right next to the lush green park. We got a room which was spacious enough for 4 people to stay!

the only opportunity area we see is to keep breakfast warm throughout even if it's for 2-3 hour window. Example: the scrambled egg wasn't hot all the time.

overall, pretty happy with the stay.

Really liked the location, just at the edge of the park, easy walking into town centre and through all the attractions of the park. Good to have easy private parking, but as there was absolutely no alternative parking in the area, we were obliged to pay there. Reception and lounge area was OK but not exactly cozy - it had the feeling of a grand old house which had been converted into an old people's home. Maybe a bar in the lounge might have made it seem less like a waiting room. Bedroom was pleasant enough, quite large, rather old fashioned, clean, nice and quiet. Bath/shower was awful. Big old bath to climb into and out of, in order to have a shower. Shower pressure was fine - so fine that it could not stay in one place, while the wobbly, flimsy old shower screen did nothing to stop water going all over the floor. Disappointed with the breakfast, we were the last of the guests to come down, although well ahead of the end of service. It looked like they had counted out so many slices of cheap ham and cheese per person, one egg per person, so many rolls etc. so we just had our allotted portions left on the serving plates - very mean for such an expensive meal. Staff were quite pleasant.

Room tip: There is no lift, so would be a problem for people with limited mobility.
