I have been staying at this hotel since 1999. Very little has changed here about the good things. The rooms are spacious, the interior is efficient and everything works. Except for the wifi access. I do get a signal from the room but it is slower than the dial-up connection we used to have a decade ago. For a reasonably good connection I have to always go and sit in the lift lobby, which can be a bother at odd hours. The other thing I do not like here is the shower. The shower by itself is all right but there is just no shower curtain. There is just a 2.5 ft wide frosted glass panel between the bathtub and the washbasin. The space sheltered by this inadequate screen is compromised by various protrusions of steel taps and even the shower pipe manifold which myst traverse this space diagonally. When you fix the shower at a height in the corner, the shower pipe pivots itself at an inconvenient angle. You may be able to have a comfortable shower if you are reed-thin but otherwise you end up splashing water all over the bathroom. But apart from these 2matters, the hotel is very well appointed considering its small town location. In the basement there is also a gym which is small but well designed. And the breakfast is just fantastic. I have seldom got such a good coffee as I have got here for breakfast. The hotel is very close to the shopping district and also right in front of a big park (hence the name I suppose). The staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel itself has a bar and 2-3 nice restaurants of its own, plus there are plenty of eating places within walking distance. Very importantly, i have always got an early check-in here, at around 7 am, without any extra charge. Overall a very good place for the business traveller. Inexpensive, neat and efficient. I sincerely wish the management would find it in their hearts sometime to improve the showers and the wifi.

Room Tip: Do try to stay in the main building. There is an annex with more rooms, but those rooms are rather p...

Despite what it is written, this hotel should not have a 4 stars. I spent there for 2 nights during a business trip and the room they got me was charmless, cold, the bed was short (you will have problem if you're over 1m80, luckily i'm not that tall) and there were no water in the shower.
After claiming to the frontdesk, they check and didn't understand why there were no water...they gave me another room which was as charmless as the previous one but at least with water.
Breakfast was just ok.

This is a superb hotel. The rooms are large, clean, warm and comfortable. The staff, including the excellent breakfast staff and desk staff are all very helpful and take time to try to help you. In particular, Alexander the night concierge at the front desk was instrumental in helping us to work out what to do, when to do it, and what was open, carrying out lots of research for us and thoughtfully suggesting what would be good at the time of year. The breakfast is phenomenal and the bed was enormous. Nice! The only slight downside - the whirlpool is no longer there.

I've gone twice to this hotel, always with my family (2 children, so 4 people). Both times we booked a suite, which comes with a master bedroom and a large living room large enough to roll out the sofa bed and have plenty of space to move around.
The facilities are nothing spectacular, but everything is well kempt, clean, and maintenance is up to date.
The spectacular thing about this hotel is the service. The staff really goes out of its way to help, and they do it in a very friendly manner, always with a smile. There are also some very nice touches such as a basket of fruit in your room upon arrival, and a nice welcoming note.
Breakfast is of good quality and plentiful.
The location of the hotel is perfect, exactly in downtown, in front of a large and beautiful park. A walk from the train station must be around 7-10 blocks away?, so not that far, but not easy if one is hauling luggage (I didnt do that walk).
The only dissappointment is that wifi is not included and I was misled when I bought it. I got the 24-hour card, but it was not clear to me at the time of purchase that all options (I think there's a 1-hour, 6-hour and 12-hour) can be switched on and off, so you really only need to purchase the 24-hour code if you plan to stay connected during 24 hours (which is a lot... we thought that the code was valid for 24 consecutive hours only). Most people would tipically only need 1 to 3 hours I reckon.
Garage parking undetgound, very convenient. Fee not included in hotel rate, reasonable price.

I have been visiting this hotel for more than 10 years now, due to my job and i enjoy staying here. It is a simple and efficient place. Plus the charms of being a small town hotel make the stay pleasant. For example, when you go to breakfast, nobody asks you your room number or brings over any bill to sign. This is a small matter but makes a big impression. The staff is also very friendly. The rooms are big, there is a trouser press and a kitchenette in every room, the balconies give a rather homely feel, the location is simply great. The big Kurpark is just across the street and a busy marketplace on the street behind. My office too is a short walk from here and at breakfast one meets many colleagues from different parts of the world. Plus, the hotel doesn't charge extra for an early arrival which is fantastic because I always land in Germany early in the morning and am in a desperate need of a shower and a shave. this part is really appreciated. The internet billing is "cumulative" so if you buy a 24 hour coupon, it can last you easily for 3-4 days if you remember to log out every time you go off the net. Just a couple of minor grouses that i have are, for one, the pillows here are paper thin. I have never understood why anyone would ever buy such pillows, far less on such a massive scale. Secondly, the shower screen in the bathroom exists solely for its looks and is absolutely useless in preventing water spillage all over outside the shower area. Really hard to understand why. Apart from this, the hotel is just great.

Room Tip: Avoid room 304 if you are interested in a good quality wifi service. I have seen bad quality wifi in...
