I travel very often to Bad Homburg and this hotel is not the one I am used to stay. This is a clean, correct 3-star family run hotel as it is possible to find at least one in each German village.
Criticism : small bath towels and breakfast needs some improvement,
Plus: very friendly staff..

The hotel consists of 2 separate buildings, the one on the picture and the other one behind. I was staying for a wee in the second one. Generally both buildings are old villas and they also feel old from inside including doors staircase etc. Also the back building seemed to be less modernized than the main one.
Location is quite good, close to the main shopping street of Bad Homburg, the train station is about 10 minutes walking and train takes approximately 20 minutes to Frankfurt main station.
The room size was OK, furniture rather old. Bathroom was also good size but old as well. It was really not nice that they freshly painted something in the bathroom so there was strong paint smell in the entire room that made me a headache by every morning. However this might be only an exceptional case.
Breakfast was half way buffet and half way ordering from the waiter. It was strange that coffee had to be ordered as well. Overall it was too slow for me.
I'm giving a poor rating due to the strong paint smell in the room, the slow breakfast and for having no WIFI at all (either free or paid).

Room Tip: Plan extra 10 minutes for your breakfast.

Very cosy place, very familiar. If you are looking for 24 hour room service, a bar to have some drinks or restaurant within the hotel, this is the wrong place. Otherwise, if you are looking for a quiet place, very nice and very clean rooms, personalized service but not much "traffic" - than this is the place to look for.
Highly recommendable if you are searching for good quality.

I often travel to Frankfurt during very booked Fair dates. I love staying in the town of Bad Homburg for a more authentic german experience and better hotel rates. The twon is beautiful and very upscale, known as an affluent suburb of Frankfurt. And the train goes directly into the Messe fairgrounds. I tried Villa Am Kurpark for a new experience. The rates are very reasonable -137 Euro a night including breakfast. However the hotels services were less than I expected. Not great for a business traveler -the internet is spotty, there is no dry cleaning and the reception closes early evening. I find the rooms in Germany to be very basic, unatttractive decor from the 70's. Breakfast here was only adequate. I think I'll try the Steigenbrenner next or go back to the Park Hotel which had a better breakfast and slightly better services.

Stayed here on business for a week. Nice little hotel - the place was built in a Victorian style back in the 50's I think. The banisters, ceilings, chair rails, etc were very ornate. It is located directly on the "Kurpark" which was great for evening walks. Also 2 blocks off the main shopping area in Bad Homburg - restaurants, etc.
Would definitely recommend.
