“Very pleasant experience”
Reviewed 28 July 2012

I spent 3 nights at this hotel, the room was neat and beautifully designed.
Very comfortable, quiet, a short 5 min walk from the main train station - and you can easily get from the hotel to anywhere in Frankfurt by either walk or public transportation.
the atmosphere at the hotel is very cozy, and I strongly suggest eating at the hotel's restaurant (Chez Ima) at least once.
There's also a small minibar fridge in the room which makes it convenient to get stuff from the nearby grocery store.
Wouldn't recommend for families though, this is mostly a business suited hotel (to my opinion)

Hip hotel with attention to details. Not much explanation as to how the amenities work e.g. key card access, square tap handles etc but they're fairly easy to figure out anyway. I had the M room and enjoyed the free minibar very much, whilst staff (Ryan) at reception was helpful in providing a map and must see sights. Didn't try the breakfast, but there are plenty of options about, especially when the market opposite Hauptbahnhof opens. This I knew thanks to the helpful information booklet left inside the room, as with Bitter & Zart and to roam about Berger Straße. No complaints here, though the location is a bit on the iffy side, but not something the hotel can do very much about. Still, the dubious parts are easily avoided by heading down a side street.

It was ok. Room was novel, dining area quite cool and relaxed, a good place to eat or relax and drink. Definitely a young crowd, wouldn't in my view suit business or families.

We had 40 euro stolen from our wallet from the room. Our own fault for assuming it would be safe there. We should have used the safe.

The area is not great. About a block from a crack house and drug dealing area. Also looks like its right next to the red light district. It was safe enough to walk around in the day, wouldn't fancy doing it at night.

Food in the evening was good, breakfast was decidedly average.

Dear Gareth,

thank you for your review here on TripAdvisor. All in all it sounds like you only had an average stay with us. I am sorry to hear that the breakfast did not met your expectations. Please do let us know if you have any ideas of improvement as we are more than happy to respond to the wishes of our guests.

Further we are shocked to hear that money got stolen from your room during your stay! The hotel management was not informed about such an incident and it was only through this review that we got to know about this matter. Please feel free to get back to me or the hotel manager Mr.Wuensch (under: levis@25hours-hotels.com) to clarify this occurence as this is surely not the norm and the rooms are to be safe even when not putting everything in the provided safe.

I hope to hear from you soon and moreover to have the chance to welcome you in one of our 25hours hotels again.

All the best,

Laura-Marie Bruehl

This is a great hotel for those who like smaller, individual, even quirky properties with charm and flavour. Each floors is dedicated to a decade: I was given a 'forties' room which was very nice and comfy for my one night stay.

THE LIKES:
- Comfortable, nicely designed room
- Good bed
- Decent TV + iPod docking station
- Nice shower
- Friendly employees

JUST OKAY:
- New guests could use a pointer or two on how the place 'works'
- Bathroom goodies came in small sachets: a tiny soap and shower gel
- Selection at breakfast seemed a bit limited... but I may be wrong
- The area is okay, but does not invite to stroll or explore...

ALL-IN-ALL
A truly fun place to stay - for those who look for exactly that experience. Clearly geared towards a younger, or at least young-ish crowd.
I recommend this place for people in creative and media jobs, for those who want something out of the ordinary, or for vacationers.

If you prefer a hotel that 'works' with a number of standardized services and amenities, look elsewhere.

Just returned from Frankfurt and Hotel exceeded expectations. First off location is very convenient to train station. Rooms are spacious, clean, and funky. Mini Bar is refilled daily and is FREE. Front desk is always well staffed and cannot do enough for you. Take a FREE bottled water as you enter and exit anytime. Hotel was running a pay for 2 nights stay 3 nights promo so the price great. As far as neighborhood, a sex bar and sex movie area can be avoided by taking different streets. Increases a walk by 5-7 minutes at most. You don't pass the red light area at all on the way to and from train station.

My only suggestion for improvement is to add a door to the shower room so someone on top bunk is not staring at person going in and out of shower. Also make door on shower out of frosted glass so someone passing to commode room does not have to avert eyes.

Thanks again for a wonderful stay. David G.

Reception/Rooms/Restaurant absolutely spot on. Great design, great value and most importantly great fun.

The hot stone steak I cannot recommend enough... the best meal I ate during my whole stay in Frankfurt.

Its a pity the roof top bar wasnt open for business, considering a. I was part of a 10 strong stag do and they would've made a killing and b. the weather was glorious. It also feels that one of the hotels other features 'The Gibson Music Room' has been left neglected a little what with the bust Jukebox and the bust fridge which has just been abandoned in there.

A few here have commented that its got a few unsavory characters hanging around the surrounding areas which is true to an extent but these guys are easily avoided if you want to.

All in all a cool hotel.

My wife and I stayed at the trendy Frankfurt hotel during a recent trade show. The extra large room we experienced was vastly different from other hotel brands and we both found it to be refreshing and certainly hip. Our room on the fifth floor was very quiet. One floor up was the roof deck to relax further.

The star's of the hotel are the kitchen staff. Our breakfast meals were very typical of Germany, however our dinners at the hotel were very memorable. The server staff were great, the food was extra special.

The reception staff were also very keen to assist and make suggestions.

As for turning left out of the hotel, we didn't. It was always straight to the main street.

Room Tip: Fifth floor corner room was very quiet.
