“Super breakfast in summer!”
Reviewed 8 May 2012

Had an (uncomplicated) business breakfast there and the atmosphere and location is like little Paris. Good bread, toppings, etc. great coffee. Always crowded, though.

“Excellent bakery!”
Reviewed 23 March 2012

Superb French bakery serving the best Eclairs in town. Also the Macarons are truly remarkable. The selection of sandwiches is terrific, as well as the bread. A piece of France in FFM!

“Overpriced, unfriendly”
Reviewed 2 March 2012

Represents the height of Frankfurt yuppiness. Expensive for what it is, the service is not good, and the crowd is the typical BMW 5 series combi and Porsche Cayenne bunch. But for some, such a place is desirable. Not for me.

“The house of pain”
Reviewed 30 January 2012

Careful decor, extremely well presented food, prices like in Paris... and that's it. "Pain" is bread in French, but read the word in English and you'll have a better description of what is like to have tea here (I've never dared to luch so I cannot speak of their savory dishes). Coffee is terrible, period. They have no idea how to make a capuccino. And cakes not only taste artificial, sometimes the employees have no idea what's in them (they said chocolate: it turned out to be orange). You'll be better off at any chain bakery: at least if you eat bad there it will be accordingly cheap.

“Nice place, nice service”
Reviewed 2 August 2010

We stayed in Frankfurt for more than a month. We stopped by this place on a whim. We found the breads, croissants and sandwiches to be very good. The quiche were a little doughy. The price is what you would expect to pay at a shop like this. I would hardly call it expensive. Hours of operation are quite good for Frankfurt as places close early and are not open on Sundays. Maison is open late and on Sundays. Staff is very very friendly. We stopped by numerous times and they always had a small croissant or roll for kids, complimentary.
