“Basic, clean, safe”

2 nights; comfortable clean double room with private w/c & shower; on a sketchy street but good security at entrance (guests must be buzzed in); close to train station; secure place for bicycles; WiFi included; only a couple of blocks from Main river; reasonable price for Frankfurt which tends to be not bad on the weekends & crazy expensive during the week due to the many Messe trade shows; only problem we had was late night street noise... yelling, laughing; probably would be less of an issue on a higher floor and/or with the windows closed - discovered the fan just as we were leaving.

Room Tip: late night street noise... yelling, laughing; probably would be less of an issue on a higher floor

Spent 2 nights here. Great location only one block from main train station. Perfect if you are rail traveler. Like other reviews never had a problem with red light area. Two block walk brings you out of the area anyway. We had our three teenage kids with us and while they maybe had their eyes opened to the world it was not a problem in any way. Rooms were fine but nothing special. Was very hot week when we stayed so windows needed to be open which does allow city noise in at night. Would have been nice to have a fan but I think the temperature was unusually hot for this time of year. No A/C. Our double room was a trundle bed arrangement which means it was mostly bed in the room - but we only were sleeping here anyway. If you are interested in the historic areas of Frankfurt you will probably be better off using public transport as it would be a long walk. However the public system is excellent and easy to use. Definitely a young, stay up late crowd but hey, its a hostel and its fine up in the rooms if you just need to sleep.

Even though it is situated in the red light district it's really safe. As a female solo travel I didn't feel bothered by it.
The room I stayed in was really nice and spacious. They provide you with a lockable chest to put your valuable stuff in, provided that you have a padlock. It's really big as well so you can kind of fit your suitcase in there. Clean showers and clean toilets. Really friendly staff. Nice bar area and something different on every night.

I spent one night at this hostel before flying out early the next day. The hostel is located in Frankfurt's red light district. The hostel makes this extremely clear on their website and in all email confirmations they send out. The hostel itself is extremely safe as the staff go to long lengths to ensure the safety of the guests. The check-in staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was a nice size and the linens provided were good too. There were large stowaway lockers for backpacks, but make sure to bring your own lock. Breakfast was "free," as it is included in the price of the room. It was a fairly standard European hostel breakfast. I would definitely stay here again when passing through Frankfurt.

The hostel is very secure, unlike the one down the street. It has a great atmosphere and is a good balance between party and non-party. They have a bar and basement with pool and foosball, and the common area is always open with interesting people hanging out in it. I highly recommend! Despite being in the red light district, it is not dangerous.

I love this place. The staff is awesome. Stayed for two nights and didn't go to bed before 5.30am on both occasions. Just a great atmosphere for a backpacker, great variety of music in the lounge, drinking games, free breakfast till 12pm, late check out, organised nights out... anything you would want, really. Yes, there are homeless people just outside and it is on a road full of sex shops, but it's the city centre, nothing will happen and you're clear of the mess 5 metres down the road. Do it!

Hostel was very accommodating, letting me check in early. Good breakfast includes cheeses, meat slides, museli, toast, and coffee.

Bar and kitchen areas both nice. Rooms are standard dorms. Lockers a bit awkward, large boxes under the bed. Washrooms are decent, mostly clean bit did have a bit of a smell. Overall the hostel is well designed. Staff were helpful and friendly.

This is in the middle of the red light district, don't stay here if you are not comfortable with that (not an issue for me).

Would stay here again.
