“Great people, great fun, weird location though”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

I went for 5 nights to the Hostel and chose it because it's very close to the train station as well as to the center. I was welcomed warmly, liked the style, everything was very clean and the mix of people was perfect. The nicest breakfast I have ever had in a hostel was included in the price and I would say that the price was very fair overall. The only thing I did not enjoy was the location of the hostel. It's located in the middle of Frankfurt's redlight district and when you're having dinner inside, outside some crackheads and prostitutes are fighting through the night. If you get a room, try to get one that does not have it's window towards the street but towards the parking and other houses as it gets verrry loud during the night with police, people screaming etc.
As said, the hostel is awesome, I just wish it was located somewhere else...

Cheap hostel, very reasonable happy hour and a different event on every night for you to get to know other guests and hostel owners. The free breakfast was great too, enjoyed our stay here. Perfect for backpackers on a budget

The hotel was right in the middle of sex shops and clubs (which they did say on their website) but the location to the train station was great. The man who checked us in and out the next morning was horribly rude, he was in his late twenties with a beard and pony tail, I highly suggest not letting him help you or touch your food. The hostel was sweltering hot and smelly. My friend and I got absolutely no sleep between the heat and the kids we shared a room with. I've been in other hostels with strangers and this one was no where near what the price should have been. We ended up canceling our third night the very first day (not even two hours after we arrived) and when we went to cancel our second night the man with the pony tail got aggravated and stormed off. The dark haired girl that helped us next was much more pleasant.
There was a small bar and food service connected to the reception that wasn't bad but the food in the morning had flies swarming it and consisted of two types of cereals and toast. Because they wouldn't let us cancel the second night we decided to take it as a loss and sleep somewhere else, yet when we went to turn in our door keys (which they required a two dollar deposit per key on) they short changed us on it and then claimed it was "policy".
Over all it was a horrible experience and the other ratings it has are completely off. The pictures it offers online are no where near what it is in reality and in general I can say that my horse barn is cleaner and nicer than this dump.

Room Tip: Don't even go, the hotel across the street was cheaper and a better value for a double bed

This is a pretty decent hostel, It has more of a classic Hostel feel than some of the Chain hostels that seem to be the rage these days, Rooms were tidy clean and the beds was comfortable. The bathrooms were in pretty tidy clean condition and seemed pretty new and modern, 4pm check in maybe abit of a pain, but the free Crepes and Pasta make up for that. Staff were pretty decent and friendly, it had a pretty nice atmosphere and set up that encourages people to meet and talk to each other.

Its very close tot he train station which is both a good and bad thin. The area, is the red light area and feels a little sketchy, but I didn't feel unsafe at any time, Female travellers may feel different though.

Room Tip: Try and get a back facing room as it maybe a little quieter.

This hostel gives everything you would expect at a very high standard, as well as including breakfast in a very reasonable price. The atmosphere was great as well.
The only downside is the location in the red light district, but this isn't a surprise as it states this on the website, it's near the train station and it's very secure - so this was not an issue.
Overall this was a very enjoyable place to stay and I would recommend it to all.

First of all know you are in the Red Light district! Other than feeling a little off put, the location was great to the train and easy walking distance.

We were in a 8 person mixed dorm, two bathrooms for each gender on the floor

The rooms were nice and I could go on and on about the showers, SO NICE. They have laundry and a kitchen as well as two common areas. Wednesday night is free pasta night, and Thursday they had a BBQ and nothing cost over 3€

The location was absolutely no problem for me, being in the red light district it actually made for very entertaining viewing while eating breakfast in the morning! Security and safety are very good so there is nothing to worry about. The hostel is clean, well managed, has a great big common area to meet other guests and a decent breakfast, plus a bar with cheap drinks and the usual additions such as laundry. Found the rooms comfortable and clean. Perfect location by the train/bus stations. Can't complain about anything!
