I imagine these apartments are really designed for people working in Frankfurt and are staying for a few weeks or longer. Luckily I was only staying for a couple of nights.
The reception staff were exceptionally friendly, which was of a good start, and the room I had was large and clean, however, that was where the good side of my stay ended.
Why do modern hotels have loads of lights in the bedroom but none of them are positioned to be bright enough for you to be able to read a book or magazine. Even the bedside lamps aren’t bright enough.
There is no bedside table, just a shelf above the bed, to put your alarm clock or glass of water. The television faces the settee rather than the bed. The bed was too soft and the settee rock hard.
The hotel advertises a bar, but this is merely alcohol being served in the breakfast area. No customers whilst we were there and I can’t imagine anyone wanting to have a drink in that area.
The breakfast was the usual small selection of cheese, ham, rolls and croissants. You had to ask the waitress / receptionist for your coffee / tea and choice of eggs. My boiled eggs were boiled solid.
The only saving grace was that there was a very good Irish bar virtually opposite so you could spend as little time in this hotel as possible.
