“Quality, Elegance and Comfort - he best hotel in Frankfurt”
Reviewed 26 December 2011

Due to work I travelled a lot to Germany and when in Frankfurt, I always stayed in this hotel. It is absolutely stunning, super comfortable and elegant in every way. Every time I stayed there I tried to find at least one thing that was wrong or negative about the hotel and I could not. So good was the hotel. It seemed that they thought of pretty much every thing that you would expect or need on a trip and it was there for you. On a number of nights I had in-room dinner service and it was great and elegantly presented on a large tray with white table cloth and fresh flowers. Bathroom was a pure delight as well. They had under floor heating and it made the room so much nicer. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who likes comfort, elegance and quality service.

This is very much a 5-star hotel, with great attention to detail. The staff were professional, polite, helpful but at the same time welcoming and friendly. The room was well appointed - spacious and comfortable. The

Although we had a short wait before we could get into the room, our expectations were managed and the reception staff very apologetic about the wait. We were then accompanied by the receptionist to the room. However, our luggage didn't arrive promptly and I had to call the desk to chase it up.

Breakfast IS expensive and the location of the hotel means that its quite difficult to find an alternative venue to eat at that time.

A couple of tips: a cab to the Zeil shopping area cost about 10 euros. However, there is a tram stop just around the corner and it was 1.50 euros for a ticket to the centre of the city (we went to the Christmas market and this was just where we needed to get to) - catch a No 12 tram.

I've stayed here two times and would warmly recommend the hotel. In particular when travelling on business, they manage to make your stay pleasant. The wlan now covers the whole hotel and is included in the price, the gym is well equipped and the breakfast is really good. The staff is friendly and the rooms are fairly big. The oly small minus is the size - you end up ealking quite long corridors to get to the elevators.

I have to travel to Frankfurt occasionally on business, and staying at the Villa Kennedy does take some of the sting out of being away from home. In a town of business hotels of various shapes and sizes, this is the sort of place you would not be too upset at staying for your fortnight's summer holiday (apart from being in Frankfurt, of course).

It is slightly out of town (€10 taxi to the Operaplatz) in quite a grand old building, but everything is modern, opulent and tasteful. There is a beautiful courtyard where you can eat and drink in the summer and a stylish piano bar and restaurant. It is at the higher end price-wise, but for the quality our corporate deal of €260 a night RO feels pretty good value.

Rooms are comfortable with decent beds. They are a reasonable size for one or two, with decent sized bathrooms and a small couch area with table, as well as the usual desk. (Generally they look onto courtyards or car parks so don't go there for the view.) Weissbier in the fridge.

Haven't tried the pool/gym but I'm told by locals who use it that it is very good! Would try it next time, but unfortunately I'm now responsible for Brazil rather than Germany. The Villa Kennedy is one thing I will miss about my trips to Frankfurt!

Dear Guest

thank you very much for your so nice compliments for the Villa Kennedy and for taking the time to share your experience.

We are very much looking forward to your next stay with us. Frankfurt is great for a layover during a travel even to Brazil. This could be the opportunity to get pampered in the Spa, decide a blackberry cocktail and a bubble bath in a quiet location.

Please feel free to contact me for any assistance and have a wonderful week.

The Villa Kennedy is a beautiful Rocco Forte hotel. My room was of a good size, the reception staff is very friendly, and the pool area is absolutely fantastic! The pool is 16 metres long, the space is beautifully designed, and the locker rooms are very nice. There are REN beauty products in the room bathrooms and the pool/spa/gym locker rooms. The buffet breakfast is very good and predictably very expensive (Euro 32). The fact that you have to pay to get internet connection is very disappointing for a luxury hotel with high room rates. Overall, a great hotel though!

Dear Guest

we do very much appreciate your time to share your experience with others and with us.
It goes without saying that we are very happy about your compliments for the Villa Kennedy.

The free Internet usage is under discussion within the Rocco Forte Hotels and a companywide decision awaited. By now the use of Internet is included in the suite experience.

We are very much looking forward to welcome you back with us. Please feel free to contact me for your future reservations with us.

After having a fantastic stay at Rocco Forte's other property in Munich (Charles Hotel) the previous week, we had high expectations, and Villa Kennedy did not disappoint. Equally amazing, this property is unbelievable in both service and facilities.

It is a gorgeous property, beautiful old villa, and the inner courtyard (which we overlooked) was so peaceful. The rooms are huge, and extremely well equipped with modern amenities. The bathrooms had both a large bathtub and separate shower. As we are LHW members I think we were upgraded so we had a nice sitting area and desk, as well as three french door sets overlooking the courtyard, and free wifi. Just an amazing room.

We did not eat at the hotel but as we were walking out the doorman asked if we needed any help or directions and was able to offer us great advice on where to walk, what to see, and where to eat. The hotel is located in a gorgeous residential area on the opposite side of the river from the main section of Frankfurt, but it is so close to the bridge and such a short walk over that is definitely worth it. The morning we were checking out we asked if we could possibly have a late check out and even with that short notice they were overly accommodating and gave us all the time we needed.

A lot of times, the staff in a hotel can make or break your stay and this place has some of the most friendly and helpful people we met. We didn't get to stay in Frankfurt very long, but I'm excited to go back just to stay here again. The Rocco Forte chain has the only properties I've found that rival the Four Seasons.
