I booked a single overnight in this Hotel for several reasons: the fitness room, pool, sauna and the location. Though the Hotel is not within easy walking of the major downtown areas, especially if you are in Evening Clothes (suit, high heels), the taxi rides to most of the Evening Entertainment places are within a short and inexpensive Taxi ride. The Parking Garage is very convenient, if not entirely inexpensive at 21 Euro, but considering the alternatives of hunting for spaces and where you are, it was well worth it. The Hotel itself was surprisingly modern and well equipped. The check-in was pleasant, the staff very helpful with questions, and the service friendly. The elevator whisked us up and down to the 11th floor, from where we had a wonderful view of the Main River and over Sachsenhausen. I took several pictures from the walk out Balcony, which is a rarety at this height in most hotels. The rooms are set up like small suites with kitchens, a living area, bath and bedroom. The kitchen provides a benefit, but detracts from the overall ambience of the room. It is a modern efficient little kitchen, but not particularly romantic. The living and bedroom areas however are quite so - pleasant, comfortable and romantic. We were both quite taken wiht the place. The breakfast in the morning was a very nice selection of items and a clean, professional setting. I also used the small, but very modern fitness area and was pleasantly surprised by the modern and high quality equipment. I didn't use the small swimming pool, but may do so next time. The whole fitness area appeared clean and worthwhile.
Overall a very pleasant, if not inexpensive experience. I thought about higher priced hotels, but after reading several reviews, this appeared to be the best choice. I booked the breakfast as part of the deal, so it was worth the price. For anyone choosing breakfast as an ad hoc, the price is a bit high. I have no compunction about recommending this place for a pleasant experience. I love hotels where everything works, and this is one place where it does.
