“Clean and spacious apartment”
Reviewed 16 November 2011

The room was immaculate, small kitchen with all utensils, fridge and even dishwasher. Perfect for having your own breakfast or preparing a lunch snack. Easy parking too for a large car. Not in the "best" area of town, but not a bad one either and within walking distance of Zeil and good shopping. Pool and sauna adequate but not luxurious.

Hotel apartment of its own style. Frequent business travelers like me who're tired of Hiltons the like's grand decor, chandeliers... highly recommend this. Spacious apartment, washing machine, laundry dryer, roomy fridge, stove and a useful meal table, make you happy as home after a hard day of work. Friendly, well behaved, classy businessmen neighbors. Not the holiday mood kind of hotel so if you are for holiday this is not going to be one for you, go get an ibis. Good breakfast, yes cold cuts and cold cuts but with a lot more other selections. As an Asia what's more enjoyable to cook your own instant noodle and make your own chinese tea after hanging out with colleagues with loads of beer in your stomach. This apartment really makes you home. Supposed to be best kept secret just can't help end up with a full review. Pool and sauna are not fancy but useful.

I stayed in the Adina on the last night of a 9 week trip. I arrived without a booking, was alone and the only room left had 2 double bedrooms. I decided since it was my last night to stay anyway and splurge, and I’m glad I did because it was fantastic. The bedrooms are beautiful, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms spacious and clean. A great place to chill out and relax before a long flight home to Sydney. The room had a kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave. There was also a dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. This room would have been fantastic to share with four people, and incredibly good value. The windows opened out onto a nice view. The hotel is in a great location, about a 15 minute walk to the main centre and shopping areas. Great value for money, I will definitely come back.

arrived at 6AM at the hotel and got checked in within 5mins and put in an excellent room - clean and tidy with kitchenette with all utensils, washer and drier, 2xLCD TVs, etc. after that staffs patiently advised on the public transportation around the hotel.
breakfast - although the selection was good it was the same things everyday we were there.
apart from that everything was perfect.

Adina's large guest rooms seem to make all the difference from the rest of hotels. However: some services are missing, as this is an apartment hotel. For example, there is no room service. The lobby is quite small and the one-person front desk does also the concierge work. Breakfast room is very small and guests who wish to have breakfast are often asked to take it at very small sitting-room-type coffee tables. There is no proper air conditioning in summer (only some central provision that rooms can be kept less warm, eg around 28 degrees -- no possibility to cool the room individually or upon request). One more practical disadvantage is that in most rooms there is no possibility to use the hair dryer in the bathroom, as there is nowhere to plug. I've stayed in this hotel multiple times in the last two years, but recently I have noticed a change in the hotel's policy: Increased prices, additional charges for breakfast -- which is average --, a tendency of reservations staff to pretend no availability of the simpler (studio) rooms with the purpose of booking the more expensive one-bedroom apartments (no upgrade is offered in case of non-availability, as it was often previously practice for frequent customers). I've also seen some signs of poorer cleaning service, for example garbage forgotten in the kitchenette waste bin. Furthermore, the hotel no more provides shampoo and conditioner (but has installed a fixed bottle of soap for all use); other amenities, incl. even shower cap, have disappeared as well. Location is relatively good, close to the banking district, but not the closest one to the shopping area. Nice views are available only for the front rooms of the upper floors. The rest overlook an inside courtyard or are facing the opposite office block. Parking is available at a price and should be booked at time of reservation.

Room Tip: lower floors and back rooms have no views. Access to some rooms requires using stairs additionally t...

The location is great - bit of the business district so not lots of restaurant options close by, however it is a nice, quiet hotel. Rooms are big, beds very comfortable, clean, nicely appointed and very helpful, friendly staff. Used room service and the food was a good quality, delivered in a short space of time. Internet connection is a bit slow.

Everything that other reviewers have said is true. This is a lovely hotel, in a good location, and with a lovely pool area. However, we booked a premium studio but were allocated a standard studio on arrival. After we had unpacked, we realised that this didn't have the coffee machine etc so contacted reception who told me the hotel was overbooked. She could not offer any other room as none were available. We were given complimentary breakfasts which we didn't want (we had a choice on booking) and were advised that the coffee machine would be sent up. It arrived two days later after discussions with the duty manager (along with a plate of fruit). I have never been downgraded because of overbooking especially as we booked a non refundable rate! Beware!
