The hotel was clean, modern, pleasant but it didn't make up for the marathon walk from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1. With 3 pieces of luggage there is NO WAY anyone can transition from Terminal 2 to the bus to the train to the hotel. It took me over an hour and only with the kind help of a Fraport Services worker. A porter costs at least 75 Euros which is well over $100!
No courtesy van at all and some at the front desk could care less about the long walk. They, and the full service Hilton, are the only hotels at the airport and they know it.
Will never stay here again, not worth the trouble.
Had dinner in the Garden Inn's restaurant. Tasty enough but I had to deal with an issue at the front desk, the waitress clearly saw I was not at the table, yet left the plate to get cold. When I asked her to heat it up she seemed visibly put out. Don't like the attitude here.
