“Small rooms, but well located.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2014

My children and I stayed in this hotel for two nights of rest as we road tripped our way to Prague from Brussels.

This hotel is a typical new chain convenience hotel similar to Novotel, with locations all over Germany and Austria and several other cities. The rooms are in good condition, but wow are they small! Even smaller than Novotel rooms, and that's pretty small. Shower is tiny, and I constantly banged my elbows on the walls as I was getting clean. And of course the lighting is no good. Super thin walls and lots of noise from doors banging in other rooms, etc. Also we had the go check and iron and wobbly ironing board out from the front desk for a 10 euro deposit. Really annoying.

When I inquired about parking, the girl at the front desk was very helpful saying that they do have a lot but that it's so small she doesn't recommend it and that people are always banging up their cars down there. She recommended finding a free spot on the street nearby, which is what we did.

Wifi was good and free in the rooms, which is always nice.

Breakfast was typical German simple, but it was good enough for us.

Hotel is located in what must be a convention area, and has a pretty big mall very nearby. It is quite near the metro/train stop so pretty easy to get to the center of town, but if you walk it's only about 20 minutes.

Would I stay here again? sure - it's super cheap.
Would I recommend it? If you are okay with tiny rooms, then go for it!

My cousins and I stayed at the Meininger Hotel at the beginning of our backpacking tour. It is located just steps from the metro, is only a block away from the Skyline Mall where you can purchase food at the market, and is only a 20min walk to the Frankfurt Main HBF train station! The room was an excellent size for 3 people, the bathroom was clean and modern, and the beds were amazing. The breakfast buffet actually included cereal, yogurt, sandwiches and fruit on top of the typical 'continental breakfast'. You could also make a sandwich to take for lunch and it only cost 3€. The staff were also incredibly helpful in suggesting what to see in the city. One of the best things about this hotel is that there is wifi in the rooms! No more fighting for broadband in the lobby! I would recommend this modern and quiet hotel to anytime wanting to stay in the heart of Frankfurt!

A group of friends stayed in the hotel this july and the experience was very dissapointed...a correct hotel, located in the fair area, with an incompetent, rude, unwilling to help in anything staff...
Next time, I'm sure we will choose another company...

We stayed at Meiniger for one night when going to Frankfurt for the Christmas market. The hotel is more a hostel than a hotel and with that in mind everything was good. Yes the rooms are small, but that's why they cost you below 50€ for two people per night. The parking situation could be better, but for a weekend in Frankfurt on a budget the place is just fine.

Hotel is asking you to park 1 km away from hotel and walk on the street with your own luggage. There is no parking space at the hotel. So be prepared! Even when it raining or hot.
Room is so small one cannot walk next to beds!
Hard to figure out air conditioning/heating.
