“Good for 1 or 2 nights”
Reviewed 15 May 2013

We chose this hotel because it is very close to the train station and we needed to get a train early the next morning. It is located about 3 minutes walf from the station and about 10 minutes walk from the city centre. For someone spending only one night in Frankfurt it is very convenient. However, for someone who wants to explore the city I would recommend a hotel closer to the centre.

The room was small but very clean and comfortable, perfect for a short stay. Breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, perhaps a bit too eager to book us a taxi when we clearly didn't need one ! However, on the whole I would definately recommend !

The hotel itself is nice on the inside and out. The staff is friendly, the rooms average size for German hotels, and pleasant bathrooms. The staff gladly helped us fetch a taxi to the airport, even though we needed it at 5:45 in the morning.

Another positive aspect of this hotel is that it's relatively cheap, especially for Frankfurt. However, with the low costs of this hotel also come the draw-backs. While the location is very close and easy to find in regards to the Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station), it is also in the middle of what I call Little Turkey. My father and I vacationed for the German culture, food, and historical sites; however, we had to walk a great distance to find any of the above. Additionally, if you are with children or young ones it would be best to avoid the most clear and obvious street when going from the Hauptbahnhof to the hotel. Taking up an entire street corner, there is an adult, homosexual shop and bathhouse with very graphic mannequins. So to sum it up: the hotel is nice, but the location is not ideal.

The hotel is about $100 per night, which is on the budget end for Frankfurt.

It is very well located, close to the train station and the city centre. We had a couple of small snags. The first room we were given was supposed to be non-smoking (the whole hotel is supposed to be non-smoking) but the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.

Also, there was construction happening, and it was extremely loud, drilling, all afternoon. Eventually we asked to be moved, and were moved into a quieter room without the smoke smell.

Overall an okay experience. The rooms are a bit shabby, but the staff are friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Lower rooms on the backside of the hotel are quieter.

Dear Guest,

sorry about the fact that the room had the smell of someone smoking. We are a non-smoking hotel, but it seems very difficult to teach smokers to obey the rules.

Also, my apoligeze about the noise, the work was supposed to be finished last November but due to the harsh winter, the company couldn't work from November until end of February.

We do hope to see you again on your next visit at a much quieter hotel.

Sincerely,
Jack Trost

Frankfurt is our first stop to the one week trip to Germany. We stayed at Allseasons Frankfurt due to it's proximity to the train station. We then took day trips to the Rhine, Nuremburg and Heidelberg. Of course, we missed the experience of staying in those towns but it's a trade off of not carrying baggage around.

Pros.
- serves Nespresso flat capsule. Many choices of bread. Ham and cheese. Provides toaster.
- Request a quiet room not facing the street.
- Room is clean
-
Cons.
- Mattress is almost worn out (very soft at the middle and I had to put a pillow under the mattress to support my back). Very likely the hotel is using the old mattress left over from the previous Ambassador hotel. (If you search the hotel by google street view, it's Ambassador Hotel)

Dear Guest,

many thanks for your comments. We have replaced almost all the beds. If you could please send us an e-mail with your room number, we could check the bed and if needed to replace it.

Many thanks,

Close to the train, easy access to the Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof and connections all around Europe. Affordable, travelling with mother-in-law, could get 2 rooms and not go bankrupt. Food was fair, but worth the convenience.

After walking around in circles we finally found this hotel I had pre booked. It was straight across the road from the station and around the next corner! Hotel was lovely and within walking distance everything. Breakfast was plentiful and the restaurant was beautifully decorated. As we were on the 6th floor at first thought there was no hot water but it needs about 5 minutes to get there. There was a footprint stain on the sheets of my bed even though they were clean. We were lucky to have had a local food market one street down on the day we left (Tuesday) and got to sample some local fare. Only drawback was that there was no coffee/tea facilities in the room, you had to get your free drinks downstairs. Would stay here again as overall good and location major drawcard.
