We were staying near this restaurant in the Westend and stopped in for dinner without a reservation. Although we had to wait for about 30 minutes to get seated, the lounge area was very nice and we enjoyed the wait.
The food was quite good. We had a shared appetizer of grilled calamari, a delicious salad each, and we each had a pasta entrée. Both pasta dishes were very good with house made pasta and very nice sauces.
We speak little German, so it would have been nice to have the menu in Italian as well as German as we eat a lot of Italian food and would have had a better idea of what was on the menu. That said, we guessed at things and came up with two very good dishes.
Service was very nice. I think a lot of Americans mistake leisurely service for a lack of service. In Europe, restaurants don't have the same attitude of "turning tables" all night. Sit back, enjoy your meal and savor the evening.
