From the moment we arrived until the moment we left,we were treated as special guests. The receptionist,Katharina, was delightful and made us feel really special. She helped us find our bearings and was a fountain of knowledge. Our room was fine and despite no a/c the large fan more than made up for this. The public rooms did have a/c. The garden area was great. An ideal spot for a drink and Kuchen. The walk to the station was easy - straight out of the hotel round the corner and at the Post Office go straight into the station on Platform 24. Our trip to Ruedesheim left on Platform 24 and returned back there. How convenient was that!! The breakfast each morning was amazing with just about everything you could hope for. Excellent service - especially provided by Diana, whose charming personality and genuine care made the occasion really worthwhile. We would recommend this hotel wholeheartedly. Our 7 days' stay passed so quickly. The hotel has no restaurant, but try the Panino opposite, the Paulaner am Dom,the restaurant in the Palmengarten and the Hauptwache in town. For a quick snack the Main station has multiple possibilities.

Room Tip: 5th floor is non smoking and very quiet. We had a standard double which was quite large enough.

Frankfurt hotels are generally good value for many compared with other countries. I found the room too small in this hotel and changed to a room a little bigger with a view at a premium. The rooms are of acceptable quality, though a bit clinical. The main reason I gave this hotel 3 stars is the breakfast was just unbelievable, outstanding. Such a huge quality of fresh and beautifully made food. There is incredible diligence and attention too detail in their work, especially with the food. The breads, cheeses and even the Bircher muesli was incredible. The location is very good aswell, being very near the grotty depressing central station, but in a quiet part of it, so you feel you are away from it.

Frankfurt, of course, is a city that many people pass through on the way to somewhere else. When you are in a pass-through city, you just want accommodations that are clean, reliable, and well-located to transportation. The Bristol Hotel provides that, and more. I booked the smallest of their rooms, and it was small indeed. But it was plenty big enough for me, very clean and nicely-appointed, with free WiFi. And the price I paid was ridiculously low, compared to other options. The bar downstairs has a very pleasant feel to it, and seems to be popular with some locals as well as hotel guests. I would definitely recommend taking the breakfast option - one of the best hotel breakfasts I've found in Europe, with a very pleasant dining area. Finally, of course, there's the location: 2 blocks from the main train station. So you can pretty much get anywhere, including the airport via a short 15-minute train.

HI BretWaters,

A pleasure to accomodate you during your recent Frankfurt visit!
So happy to read that you liked our property and concept.
Indeed, the small single rooms are tiny, but equipped with everything you need, and very price sensitive. ;-)
We are quite happy that we are in a niche and different than other hotels.

Looking forward to see you again.

We spent 4 nights at Bristol Hotel and we had an excellent stay. As breakfast lovers we were pretty impressed by the quality of this one - not huge but with a lot of options from bread to cereal, salmon and baked beans and eggs, etc. The staff was also very helpful directing us to the city center and with any request with had. The rooms weren't huge but they do their job with a classy deco and cozy beds. At a short walk we had one of the main train hubs - frankfurt hbf - and the city center would be another 15-20 min down the road (you could also take the bus). We even had a Portuguese welcoming us at the reception when we got to the hotel - pure luck but funny coincidence. There are a few eating options closeby the hotel, including a really nice italian restaurant (7 Bello). Although we stayed at the 6th floor, you can tell some of the lower rooms may be noise with a bar just across the street but overall it was a very plesant and uneventful stay for us. Would definitely recommend if you want to avoid the city main center (busy, noizy, more expensive) but be within walking distance.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher level room or a room to the back if you want to make sure it's quiet.
