I spent yesterday afternoon in Hugendubel which is a large bookstore right in the center of Frankfurt. Not only do they have every type and genre of book you can imagine, but they also have games, DIY things and stationary. The cafe, on the ground floor of the three story complex is very nice and inviting for reading a book while enjoying a nice freshly-made coffee and a home-made piece of cake. The hours just fly by in this place!

The bookstore contains three floors with all kinds of books in German and music. I took one book from English part, you really should come here for a short reading time during your trip. The bookstore is in very center of Frankfurt, the indoor design is perfectly comfortable for reading. Spend some time here!

I love Hugendubel and I think it´s a great idea to have a cafe inside. You can have coffee/tea, juices, muffins, cake and little snacks. It´s expensive but nice. The atmosphere is nice and cozy.

Very nice cafe on the basement floor of the Hugendubel bookstore, with French cafe style metal topped tables, and a cool, curved, raised seating bench at the back. The workers are all very friendly and the boss is kind and warm-hearted. There is a good selection of hot drinks, and cakes, wraps and sandwiches. The latte macchiato is very good, and they have a wonderful cake called "marlenka", a creation from layers of biscuit with honey and walnuts. The brownies and vollkorn cookies are also great. The place is often very busy, and it's a great place to sit with a book and a coffee and watch the shoppers go by. It would be a great idea to make the cafe bigger, if the book shelves would just move over a little bit.
