We booked through Hotwire.Com and it was branded as a 5-star hotel. There's no way this hotel is 5-star to me. The hotel used to be Sheraton Arabella and it was recently changed to The Westin Grand Frankfurt. That probably explains why the hotel doesn't have a lot of feedback and it's currently standing at number 3 on TripAdvisor's top Frankfurt Hotels.

The Good:
1. Designer Toiletries
2. In room expresso machine
3. Double shower head (heavenly shower)
4. Great spa and swimming pool area
5. Very comfortable bed and clean room

The Bad:
1. Strange place to put the "do not disturb" sign (next to the expresso machine)
2. No free internet (this should be included for the price you pay)
3. No DVD player (this is standard on all 5-star hotels)
4. No free newspaper or magazine (again, this should be standard for a 5-star)
5. The lobby looks nice but as soon as you walk into the elavator and out to the hallway leading to your room, the "not so 5-star feel" becomes apparent.

The Ugly:
1. A whopping 30 euro breakfast per person
2. No free parking for guests (22 euros a day)

Just passed three nights there. The 5 stars are justified by the quality of the bed, the size of the room, the choice of restaurants, the excellent noise protection, the impressive size of the lobby and the bar. The spa on the top floor is great: very clean, extremely friendly staff (like in the rest of the hotel). Noteworthy: it is the only really centrally located 5-star hotel in Frankfurt.
Breakfast is OK, nothing very special for the high price it is.

I stayed in the Classic room for one night. The room was very well appointed with a very comfortable bed, nespresso coffee machine, heated floor in the bathroom, and pleasant lighting and furniture selections.

The location of the hotel was excellent, and only a 5-10 minute walk through the Zeil to the Romerberg and beyond, and right around the corner from the Konstablerwache U-bahn.

My only very small nitpicky complaints would be that the window could have been more sound-isolated to block out the street noise, that the bed seemed like the mattress was never rotated and so one side was a little dented, and that they could provide more than 3 measly capsules for the coffee machine without charging extra.

The Westin has elegance and class without beeing posh and stiff. The staff was wonderfull and the rooms delicate and relaxing. Try the pool/spa bar with a view :-)

This was a wonderful hotel at a great price (thanks to the 'internet special' on spg.com). The room was large and comfortable, and the hotel was less than a block from the U-Bahn station where the regional train from the airport stops. Easy connection to the airport for less than 4 euro and easy connection throughout the region by U-bahn or S-Bahn.

This was a great final stop on a recent trip to Germany.

This is a great luxury Westin property in the centre of Frankfurt.

We had a 'Starwood Preferred Guest' deluxe room on the 5th floor, it was beautiful and neutrally decorated. The king-size bed was amazing, as is the norm in SPG properties. There is a great double-headed shower above the bath which is very welcome in the morning.

The gym/spa/pool are located on the 6th floor and although we didn't use these facilities, it all looks very professional.

The lobby is a 'great space' very open with some rare vintage cars to stare it.

One complaint is the Arabella lounge/bar located behind the reception. The service is very slow both for drinks and food...I would suggest eating and drinking elsewhere if you are in a hurry.

If I was in Frankfurt again, I would stay in this hotel.
