“Do't waste your time or money”
Reviewed 11 February 2012

We had been warned there was no menu, however I made a point of asking the waiter of the price of the dishes when he told us that due to the trade show there were only 3 starters and 4 mains to choose from. There was however a priced wine list. the food was mediocre and very boring with no Italian flavour. The service was rubbish and it took more than half an hour to get the incorrect bill! Don't go there - find somewhere else.

“Fabulous evening, great host, delicious food”
Reviewed 16 December 2011

We initially went to another restuarant which was full but we were redirected to dal Pescatore. Tucked away in an unusual location it was intimate and friendly. The host advised that he did not have English menus but took the time and trouble to run through the entire menu, explaining the dishes and how they were cooked. We asked for a specific style of wine and he brought us a choice and even referred us to the wine review in the local version of teh Australian "Gold Book", and yes this was in English.
The food was fresh, well presented anddelicious. We had a lovely evening then walked back to our hotel.

“Don't forget to ask for the menu”
Reviewed 17 October 2011

Last week we went to Dal Pescatore while on a business trip.
As soon as we were sitting at the table we were proposed one red wine and a white but no menu from which to choose anything.
The rest of the dinner went on the same line: again, we were proposed a starter (which was rather mediocre) and then a choice among 4 mains. The waiter kept on diligently filling our glasses with wine and none of us was paying particular attention because we were all engrossed in conversation.
The main was mediocre too.
At the end of our dinner we were welcomed with a bill over €800 to be equally split among us (we were 10 people in total). None of us made a fuss or asked for an itemised bill.
I was simply furious at the downright dishonest way of doing business with tourists. If one combines that with lower than average food, it is clear that this is a place to avoid.
