I really was pleasantly surprised by the Victoria. Some reviews say the neighborhood is bad, but you are a full block away from the red light district, and even that isn't bad. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was fair and spotless upon arrival. The internet could be terribly slow for a few hours then fast the rest of the day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again for the overall good value.

Booked this hotel because it was close (5 minute walk) to the central train station. Located in Frankfurt's red light district. We arrived at 11 pm on a Saturday night, but aside from a few shop signs, I didn't notice anything obvious (but maybe I was too tired!). Reception was very friendly and helpful. Booked a double and single room (traveling with self, 2 teenagers and a 6yo) for one night. Teens stayed in very small double, single was tiny. Would not have liked to stay there longer than overnight with kids because of tiny rooms. Amazingly the bathroom (with shower) was well-laid out and a nice size. Included breakfast was okay. Rooms were very clean. Very quiet. Left early Sunday morning. Average hotel with convenient location.

Pro: the hotel is cosy and has a very nice design. The rooms are comfortable, with good beds and pillows. The breakfast is cheap (7 euros) and ok.
Cons: it is located half way between the central station and the ECB. The surroundings have a strange wildlife, especially at night. There are many sex shops around and a number of prostitutes.

To sum up: if you need to go to the ECB or take an early train, the hotel is ideal. The rooms are nicer than in the pricy Frankfurter hoff. If you have no reason to pick this location, well, find another one.

This is a very nice hotel just 5 minutes walk from the Central Railway Station. The single rooms although clean and well equipped are tiny; but if you're on business and just need somewhere to stay they are fine.

The breakfast is excellent. I tried to use the wifi in the room and had problems accessing it, next time I would avoid using it and it charges your room without giving access.

The location of the hotel in the middle of the red light district did give me some security concerns and I certainly wouldn't have any of my female coworkers stay there alone.

Unique looking rooms; professional staff, and fantastic included breakfast--but a caution, the neighborhood is a little seedy. It was a good fit for our family of six since we could book two triple rooms. (four kids 19 to 26) But I was not comfortable with them going out at night in the neighborhood. Very close to main train station. So if you do not have younger children, I would definitely book it. It was only about a six block walk to riverfront area; and 8 blocks to charming Sachenhausen area. Easy train ride to Heidelberg too.

The staff at the Victoria Hotel are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and quiet enough with the window closed. Great location next to railway and 10 mins to old part of town by foot. Would definitately recommend!

Room Tip: Local steak restaurant is recommended. Ask the staff for tea making facilities if required and they...

The location isn't horrible, just a lot of "red" district area. The value is great and the rooms were very nice. Small and European but quality and cleanliness were great. 15-30 euro cab ride to nice eating and shopping.
