First impressions are good.Frankfurt's West End is an upmarket quarter and the hotel is on the edge of a quiet residential area....but only a 5 min walk from the station, 10m from the river and 20m from Altstadt.
There's street parking, and a secure (9 euro overnight) public car park next door.
It looks and feels like a 1980s luxury chain hotel, rather than a contemporary modern business hotel, but that's no bad thing. Although some of the furniture in the room looks tired, the building is clean and comfortable.

The hotel is priced right. It's not a Pullman or Crowne Plaza, but it's in a similar price range to Ibis Styles or HI Express. Judged on those terms, you get a lot for your money, in a great location.

It's quite difficult to fault this hotel, as it does all the important things very well. It is part of the Accor Group, and the brand code shows in the high standard of staff, reception area, bedrooms, and restaurant. We stayed twice in this hotel during last week, and have stayed here before. Quality has been maintained each time. We like particularly its nearness to the Hauptbahnhof (as quick to walk as to take a taxi), while being tucked away in a quiet and largely residential area of Westend. Last week we used the restaurant only for breakfast, which offers an exceptionally wide range of food of the highest quality; we always like the variety of breads and pastries, and the fresh fruit. Even as the hotel was hosting a conference last week, the service was maintained, food was immediately replaced as it ran out, and there was no queuing for tables. The rooms we had were large and well-furnished, very clean and sound-proofed, so that we enjoyed our sleep, untroubled by noise from within or without. One suggestion for improvement, though, would be to make available coffee and tea, preferably in the rooms. The hot drinks apparently available in the lounge are only for conference attendees.

Room Tip: If you need extra space in your bedroom, make sure you book a superior room. Any floor is fine, alth...

This hotel in the first sight, looks nice and neat. However, if you book the cheap rooms (I guess that's how it works) they will send you at a building in the back of the hotel where the rooms are nothing like the ones on the photos. If I haven't seen the photos of the hotel I would rate it much better because the rooms were quite decent, but knowing what I was missing... I can't rate it better...

On the other hand, I have to say that the personnel are anything but helpful. At night, when I was cold, I asked for a blanket and no one would bring me one because the housekeeping was closed! So, I had to get up and go myself to reception to get one!

Room Tip: Try to get a room in the main building!

As the start to our German roadtrip, we stayed just off the main drag in Fraknkfurt. Just invites from the main train station, but quietly tucked away on a quite street. The room was large and so was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean! The front desk staff we cheerful and helpful.

We stayed here for 3 nights becoz of the airline travel package. Though the location is good, the room facilities were really disappointing, especially for a hotel in a big city like Frankfurt.

First of all there were no spare AC power sockets (apart from the one in bathroom which means to be for shaver). We could only find 2 relatively-easier-to-access power sockets under the desk, but the desk lamp and the phone were plugged into them. We needed to unplug them so that we could charge our mobile phones, laptop and camera. It is very bad for a hotel that doesn't provide more power sockets nowadays when everybody has at least 1 or 2 gadgets with them. We stayed in 2 smaller family-run hotels in the same Germany trip and both hotels have good facilities. It's so disappointing that our last stop was in a big city but we're running out of power sockets in the hotel!

Moreover as mentioned in other reviews, there was no free Internet in room (LAN or wifi). There was a paid wifi plan by the hotel but it's more pricey than the Telekom's wifi plan (which if you subscribe, you can use both in hotel and around the city). They did provide free and stable wifi in lobby and restaurant area though.

Last thing I don't like about the hotel was the buffet breakfast. Food quality was so so and the choices of fruit was extremely limited. We ended up giving up the free breakfast and went out to the fresh market for breakfast on the 3rd day!

Yet there were still some good things about the hotel: The location is really good becoz it's in the quiet area but still close to Frankfurt Hbf, approx +10 mins walk. If you buy the Frankfurt day ticket, you can take the tram and the closest tram station (Platz der Republik) is just a few minutes away from the hotel. Moreover the hotel staff at front desk are friendly and helpful.

In all, if you're just looking for a hotel to get some rest and conveniently located, this could be a decent choice for you. But if you expect a hotel with up-to-date standard in-room facilities, I'd suggest you to choose another one.

Stayed here for one night in September.

We transited Frankfurt by train (not a very attractive city) and picked this hotel as it is close to the station (no more than 10 mins walk).

Hotel itself looks fairly stylish, but dated in parts. No free Wi-Fi in the room; why do Accor do this? A rather slow PC in the lobby can be used free of charge, and there is also free Wi-Fi in the lobby. Staff friendly and helpful. No fitness facilities on site.

Rooms are comfortable and clean, although bathrooms are small. Decor is classical and this adds to a cozy feel.

Overall, if you need a comfortable hotel close the rail station (but not much else) this will suit you.

This is the first time I tried the Mgallery collection after numerous stay in other Accor hotels. Indeed, it is one of the worst experience for my stay, to be more specific, upon my check-in, the service from the check-in manager (in black suit) is the worst I have experienced. He never assisted us with the luggage and when I asked about the borrowing of the trolley, he just leaves it at the entrance without any assistance, and we have to carry our heavy luggage up six steps before getting to the trolley.

Later, when we get on the elevator to room, we took a wrong elevator, and he just told us that "Haa, you take a wrong elevator" but without directing us to a correct one. Even he reacted the same when we took a wrong way again. Totally bad.

Our non-smoking room smells with strong smoking smell and the entire design is old-fashioned and the interior aged. Wifi is paid, and though free Wifi in lobby but very slow response. What an experience with my stay in Mgallery.

However, I must point out that the manager when I check-out offered a high-standard of service to us, and he even helped us for the luggage and also go with us to the parking for paying fee, this should be the services for a top series of Accor hotels.

Room Tip: Request for a real non-smoking room if needed.
