Stayed here for 3 nights during the Frankfurt Ambiente Fair.
The rooms are very, very simple and looking very tacky. The public rooms are dated and tired.
The worst thing about this hotel is the minute lifts, it's a very big hotel with many floors. The main lifts are 6 people only. I waited over 15 mins one morning for a lift with space.
Not an enjoyable experience at all - Staff are fine and helpful but that's the only salvation!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn for 2 nights in August 2011. We found our stay to be quite enjoyable. This is a large conference hotel and is commonly used for tour groups.
The Room:
Our room was clean and tidy, the decor is a little outdated though. Bathroom was nice, Hairdryer didnt work though. We had a balcony that had great views over Frankfurt. Bed was comfortable.
Location:
This hotel is a good 15 minute walk to the "old town", river and the main centre of Frankfurt. if you want to be centrally located then this hotel may be a little too far. It is a nice walk though and there are restaurants along the way to stop at and eat. There is also a bus stop out the front of the hotel. Is close to the city forest which would be nice for a walk.
Hotel features:
There is a good pub/restaurant downstairs with an outdoor seating area that is nice to sit in and have a few drinks. The food was pretty good here too.
Breakfast was OK, not a huge selection and can be quite busy if there is a tour bus staying.
Plenty of room for parking in the hotel. The staff were also very nice.

One negative, that is of no fault of the hotel is that nightime on a weekend there are quite a few people around drinking in the streets. Whilst most are young and harmless, we did see a few unsavory characters looking to take advatnage of tourists. So be careful, especially if you are walking around at night. Good idea to get on a bus rather than walk back to the hotel.

Overall this is a good value hotel with great staff.

Room Tip: For a good view, ask for a room up high.

The hotel needs full refurbishment, the rooms are out of shape, furniture carpeting and all, i personally didn't like the rooms at all. Beds are ok.
To be fair, service is good, and all the staff are courteous, the concierge is great! Breakfast is varried, but over priced, 20eu per person. Should you have a car, parking will cost you another 20eu per day! Additional charges apply to the internet use as well. They don't even put a bottle of water in the room!

The location is not really central, however opposite to the hotel, there is a bus station that takes you directly to the center within ten minutes.

i would stay there if i had too and purely for business.

The hotel is not really near to the train station or Airport. A taxi from Airport can charge you some where around EUR 35.

However, there is a bus stop right opposite to the hotel and buses and subway can take you to the fair ground Messe Frankfurt. Taxi to Messe will cost aroung EUR 17.

Rooms are spacious and very airy. However, the lighting appears to be slightly dull. The hotel should invest in proper lighting for the room.

The local brewery Binding, is just 300 mtrs from here.

Hotel is equipped with a fitness centre.

Room Tip: Choose the rooms facing the road. They have an excellent view.

The hotel is not exactly at the centre of everything, but it is easy to reach both Hauptbahnhof and sights at the centre. If you travel from the railway station, the most convenient way to the hotel is by bus 30 or 36 from Lokalbahnhof Sidfriedhof, the bus stop is opposite the hotel. These buses will also take you to the centre of the city. My room was on the 10th floor and had a beautiful view of the Frankfurt cityline. The room was convenient, bathroom was rather big for European standards. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, as I had an early flight. Staff was friendfly and helpful and gave some advice as for visiting the Christmas Market.

We just finished a 3 day conference with 275 people so my perspective is from an event planner and business traveler. The Kongress Saal is excellent with a large stage, good technical equipment, lighting and temperature control. The breakfast is very good but the breakfast room is hectic and crowded if there is a large group in the hotel. The restaurants are good, and the service in the 1st floor restaurant is excellent. Our housekeeper - - a friendly Bulgaria woman -- was excellent. The front desk staff is not friendly, but then most hotel front desk people lack training and personal skills. (What a shame the hotels don't realize that this is their main point of contact with their customer. Most front desk people are good at saying "that is not possible" and rarely smile.) The evaluators at this hotel are a disaster if the hotel is full. It can take 5 minutes or more to get an elevator. The hotel is very clean, and the beds are quite comfortable. The location is excellent but there are not many close-by restaurants. There isn't any bell service, which is a surprise for a hotel this size. The gym/spa is OK but the equipment needs to be replaced. Laundry service is very good. There is no gift shop for snacks/water/drinks but there is a grocery store about 4 blocks away. In spite of having a large group for the weekend we were never greeted by the manager (or even assistant manager), or not even a personal note. Weird. Coffee and bar service for our group was terribly slow. The hotel lost a lot of money because our people went somewhere else to get their coffee, snacks and bar drinks because the hotel was under staffed. Many of our attendees were upset about this. All in all, I recommend this hotel but it lacks a heart. This usually means that management is just running a business but doesn't really have a passion for being excellent hoteliers. Don't expect too many smiles here.

Room Tip: Higher floors offer a great view of Frankfurt but the elevators are very slow. The 2-level suites ar...
