“Good hotel, bus stop right outside”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2013

This was a good hotel which provided in-room safe and parking (for a fee). The internet wifi was not good, I tried to log into the hotel's wifi service from my room at the seventh floor but the network didn't even show on my i-pad. On the positive side, it has a bus stop right outside the door and it is easy and cheap to get from there to the city centre. The room size was OK, not more than that. Would I stay again? Probably.

We were 4 of us and we booked 2 double rooms connected to each other and when arrived we were happy with the room sizes, facilities and we stayed on 24 th floor, which was unexpected. We liked the view. The beds were very comfortable, we slept very well, only the blanket didn't look like for double bed, so we asked extra one (porter brought it straight away). Only minus was that it's quite dagerous on balcony on high floors, because they aren't closed anyhow.
We enjoyed our stay a lot. Thank you.

I agree with another reviewer that they take FOREVER to answer the phones if you call down. I was calling because they use very old safes and you need to ask for this special coin in order to use it. The rooms were pretty poorly appointed. TVs were nice and beds were good, but there was a lot of empty, unused space that made it look a bit odd. Water pressure in the shower was really weak. Note that the hotel is not really in the city center, you'll have to walk/drive/taxi to get there.

All in all, this was a perfectly acceptable hotel to stay at given the low price and easy access to get to the airport within ~20 mins.

Room Tip: The two story suite is fairly large, but there is a lot of unused/wasted space.

The room my wife and i stayed in was quite ok, not super flashy but ok, but some of the other people on our tour got older unrefurbished rooms which were a bit shabby. The staff of this hotel i found to be very helpfull in every way, and i would be prepared to stay there again. If you are looking for 5 star this is not the place for you, but if you are looking for reasonable value this is ok.A ten minute bus ride from right outside the door, and you are in the city. Overall experience 6/10

I stayed here as part of conference recently and the most annoying thing about this hotel is that the reception desk fail to answer the phones. In fact that goes for a lot of departments that you attempt to call from your room. This is particularly annoying as it is a highrise buiding and resulted in me having to make a journey down to reception on at least 3 occasions to speak to reception. On one occasion I decided to order room service only to have the misfortune of finding a staff member who didn't quite understand English- however I will forgive this as her English was better than my German. The food is OK, the breakfast is OK, the service is appalling. Now on to the strangest thing- I had a lovely double bed with a tiny single duvet?? When I questioned this it was explained to me that as I was a single occupant and I was only entitled to one single duvet. After much insistence another single was delivered to my room and that is how I slept for the 3 next nights, arguing with 2 single duvets. All in all I would say that my stay was far below average.

Room Tip: Make sure you are on a lower floor as the lifts are slow and the trip to reception when they dont an...

Ok, the hotel has the few superficial indicators of a recently refurbished holiday inn like new logo, nice lobby. But apart from the ery friendly and helpful front desk staff, there is room and restaurant interior from the 80s ( by the looks of it), damaged shower, insufficient lift capacity during peak times, no shoe or vanity kit in the room, expensive parking and: it really is in the middle of nowhere. Not good for seeing the city. And - also from stoneage (or shall I say desperate for profit hotels): you have to pay for wireless, per smartphone/tablet you want to use.

Simply average

I recently had the opportunity to stay in this hotel on two occasions in the same week. I would say the first room was better than the second one. As most have already said its not in the city it's about 15-30 minute walk. It's not near the airport, about 33-50 euro cab ride. You can not access the hotel via train or local subway. You must take a cab or the bus period! Even if your saving a few euros instead of staying in the city center its just not worth in the long run you will have to pay to take a cab or the time on a bus every time you want to go somewhere if your not a walking fan.

NOTE: This hotel is used frequently by tour groups and sometimes when the buses drive in you can be overloaded with people above the normal volume.

The elevators are not capable of handling more than 4-6 people at a time, if a tour comes in you can wait several minutes to get to your room.

The staff does its best with the short comings of this hotel. The hotel is way past its prime but acceptable to European standards. I have been traveling to Europe for several years now and I really do not see the same importance that Americans put in their hotel rooms. These rooms are basic and still have 13 inch tube tv's with basic cable tv. The bedding is basic (a duvet with two very soft pillows) and sometimes the beds will leave you with a lasting impression as the second room did during my visit in the week.

If you want something closer to what you see in the US then book American based mid to high level chains, don't be fooled by the Holiday Inn logo here ( they do license it to franchise owners).

Foot note: I stayed here due to my company having its annual meeting here, otherwise I would not have reserved a room at this hotel. It is not business friendly as they try to charge you a very high fee for internet per device!!! Not even the loyalty program gets free wireless. If Frankfurt is booked and you can't find a room in other locations then this will do for one night, otherwise book somewhere else..

Room Tip: The rooms are a lottery, you never know what you will get. Some beds might leave you with a night to...
