“Excellent for a business stay”
Reviewed 21 January 2012

I was one of the first customers on their opening day. So i had to "suffer" some little problems, but everything was run smoothly and all troubles quicly solved, staff is very good (manager and the lady in charge of restaurant deserve both a special mention).
Rooms are nice, ipod deck, enough space, restaurant is good, bkfst also top, with a orange squezzing machine. I didnt try the spa and the sauna...
Location is very convenient 5 minutes walk from Messe (actually opposite side of the road) and 15 minutes walk to railway station.
Will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Frankfurt.

The location:
An area in transition but walking distance to the Messe and only two blocks from the Galluswarte S Bahn station...from there, easy transport to the city center, airport, main train station...

The hotel:
Modern, hip, comfortable. The red and white palette is crisp and clean. The public spaces are inviting and when the hotel is full, will likely have a good vibe. The restaurant and bar were very nice and the food I sampled was delicious. The breakfast buffet was excellent with variety and quality, including fresh pressed orange juice and Eilles tea.

The rooms:
Another hit. A media wall with huge tv and computer monitors hidden behind black glass. The beds are comfortable and the down comforters toasty warm for Frankfurt winters. The lights are dimmable and a cool feature is the "chroma therapy" option, allowing you to choose the color light in the room. After a long transatlantic flight, bathing the room in blue was, indeed, very relaxing.

The bathroom:
Well thought out, great lighting. Enough shelves for all your toiletries and an extra magnifying mirror on the wall was a good touch. The rain shower with an additional handheld shower was powerful and hot water was almost instant, even early in the morning.

The impression:
I was the second guest to check in on their opening day, greeted at the door by the very friendly Mr. Marino. The check in was smooth and I was escorted to my room to have all the amenities explained. Did I forget to mention the free mini bar and internet? It has those, too! As the property was brand new, I expected and witnessed a few new opening mishaps; but the staff reacted immediately to fix anything and asked each time i went through the lobby if everything was working. The restaurant was inconsistent on its timing, but no one was rushed and it made for a nice experience. I know that this will all improve as everyone settles in. Be warned that there is construction in the area so sleeping in may not prove successful. That said, my room faced the railroad tracks and it was very quiet.

I suggest the Dormero as an alternative from the central hotels and the generally unattractive options by the main train station. It is easy to reach and the area will get better as more amenities come in.

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper, ask to be on the front of the hotel, away from the train tracks.

Brand new Hotel In a good location, walking distance from the Frankfurt Fair! At the lobby of the hotel there is a very cool bar with and nice music to relax before going back to your room. The breakfast is very good and also the service by the staff there. One thing I noticed that the reception staff don't speak very good English but still we got quick and good service. The rooms are very clean and modern and the bed is super comfortable. Big advantage of the room is the free Internet in an amazing big screen!! There is also a big Tv. If you are visiting the Frankfurt fair Dormero is avery good choice.
