“A wonderful surprise!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 November 2011

I wasn't expecting what I found when we arrived to the Hotel. Reception was nice, staff very helpful. Informative. Big lift, two of them and wide stairs. A small gym on the basement with few machines but all of them in good condition. Room was big and bathroom more than confortable. Beds are kind of soft and can be a problem for some of us with back problems. It is not close to a subway station but a tram pass by just in front the hotel. Walking along the river is a great experience and takes you very quickly to the Romer where subways, banks, and entertainement are. Hop on-off buses at the Romer. In front the hotel there are always taxis and they are not expensive. The breakfast is wonderful, wide selection of teas, coffee, breads (all soft and warm or freshly baked croisants) chesses and cold meat among other options. Haven't seen a breakfast this good for this price ever. It's a good choice for a short or medium stay.

Room Tip: Rooms with city view are really quiet.

I was in training 10-15th of July, 2011. Room was booked for me from FSFM. They have free newspapers and magazines in lobby. Staff is kind and helpful. They have good breakfast option. Location also is better. It is near to Main river and about 10 minutes walk to Frankfurt business center. Only one bad thing. The pillows are smaller than I expect. I recommend every body who is planning to go Frankfurt for business trip or training in FSFM. Frankfurt School about 5 minutes walk distance.

main problem is location and poor value for money. rooms were old and beds were soft. paid over EUR240 for this, definitely not worthed. the walk to subway station was like 20mins in winter, high winds. painful.

The hotel looks old, chip and empty. Hardly even a three star hotel. Personnel is slow and ineffective.
if you look at a map the hotel seems to be close to the center, but i didn't like the walk around because the area surrounding the hotel looks not safe.
everything is shabby and chip, food in the restaurant is not to the standards, although breakfast is satisfying.
i think it is easy to find a better one for the same money.

Hi,

It's a nice hotel indeed with wifi free internet at room. Room is spacious and had a nice sleep as bed is too comfortable. The location of the hotel is not much central I belief. Breakfast has few varities exists and food is delicious also. Altogether this is a nice property but for young guys I can't recommend rather recommend to stay at main city of Frankfurt am main. As a business traveler I'll be there again for sure. Sorry! I forgot to mention that, lady at concierge is so helpful, courteous and beautiful too.

Cheers,
Md. Mahbubur Rahman [Shohag]

Nice hotel, good for business trips.
The rooms were clean and tidy but not 4 * quality. Compared to the 4* Melia in Berlin the night before this hotel is not close to the same standard.
Business rate of €97 but I would say that it was a little overpriced as the Melia in Berlin was €105 and much nicer.
Good size room but basic room facilities. Old style TV but free wifi.
Breakfast not included as I had an early start.

€350 for a "superior room" which was anything but. (trade fair on in Frankfurt so hotels hike their prices accordingly). Tiny reception area, one lift for entire six floors. Small room, sink in bedroom, no bath, shower in corner. After complaining was told that this was an "open bathroom" layout! No toiletries other than liquid soap dispenser in shower. It was the Steigenberger name that attracted me to this hotel. How they ever lent their name to this dump I will never know. Never again.
