“A great little hotel close to the train station”
Reviewed 10 January 2013

Our family of 5 stayed here overnight between train trips. The owner was friendly and very helpful advising us of nearby things to see with the children. Breakfast was great and filling. Was nice and close to the train station and the centre of town. Would stay there again.

Before my sharing, I would like to clarify... there are actually 2 hotels run by this group and the are contiguous and share the entrance: Europa Life (3-star) & Europa Style (4-star). As I saw there are reviews on Europa Life under the section of Europa Style, I don't want to mislead the reader :)

Where I stayed is Europa Style which is more modern and new compared to Europa Life, certainly the room rate is higher too. I like this hotel due to the environment and location.

Firstly, I think the location is the best - it's close to main station (around 3-4 mins on foot) and the tourist attraction like the Roma plaza (within 15 mins). Or the tram station is just in front of hotel so that you can go other places easily.
Then, the room is new, clean and modern although the room is not big. The bed and sofa is very comfy and I could sleep well. Free wifi is also availble in both the room and restaurant. The network is stable and speedy.
What is more, I llike the breakfast which is included very much. There are hams, cheese, bread, danish, fruit, muesli, granola, yogurt, various tea and coffee etc. They will also cook the eggs for you in the way you want (omelette, boiled, fried, scramble...). I admire the variety thy provided.
Last but not least, the staff is helpful and knowledgeable about the city.
If you drive, the free parking is possible in front of the hotel and you can also leave your car key to the front desk as they are willing to take care of your car.

Overall, I got the good deal to stay in this nice hotel. I will definitely come back if I go to Frankfurt again.

PS: The door of washroom is made by frosted glass. You need to consider this if you stay with normal friends.

The rooms were nice and the location of the hotel very good for a walk in the center of the city, the receptionists were friendly and helpful and the breakfast better than expected (they even cooked our omelette just the way we like it). The only con is the glass-bathroom and we pointed out the matter so that they put on some blindfolds for privacy.

Have you ever heard about a free mini bar? You can get it there. Staff are a kind of friend with you. They act as professionals and for sure they will do their best to make your stay a good one. I wrote an email to the manager and thanked him. Got a kind reply back. Breakfast was simple but with very good quality. Location was also great. Near the main station but a bit far from the red light area. Quite and clean rooms. Value for money.

I booked this hotel because it was near the main railway station, also getting a 3* hotel for a good price.I certainly wouldn't call it 3*.The room was on the small side, out dated furniture, strange stains on the carpet and a small bathroom. The breakfast was ok.The best part of this hotel was the view out of the window.

I read some good reviews for this hotel before booking. When we got there I couldn't believe I had the right hotel! Hotel Europa was very shabby. Even the front desk was badly in need of an upgrade. The room was very small but, to be fair, the beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also very cramped - you almost had to sit sideways on the toilet.
Breakfast was just ok. Very small selection of food but tea and coffee was available all the time.
I'm not sure if there are two types of rooms - the ones that got good reviews and the ones like we were given or if some of the reviews were not genuine but Europa is not a hotel I would recommend for most people.
If the price was really cheap and young travellers were on a tight budget, it would be fine to stay for a night. However, I don't think it was cheap at 79 euro and it certainly didn't suit an older couple like us.
The positives are that we were greeted in a friendly manner and the Wifi worked well.

Europa Hotel GMBH is the worst hotel I have ever had the misfortune to have a travel agent book on my behalf. Europa Hotel GMBH is outrageously over-priced and nowhere near the advertised 4 star hotel. The room was miniscule; the outlook was of garbage and rubbish strewn on neighbouring apartments 10m away; the rooms are noisy; the decor cheap and nasty; and service was aggressive and unpleasant. There was no response to concerns.

Room Tip: Avoid this hotel.
