Owner description: The Nauheimer family has been active in boating and shipping since 1880 on the Main River. It was Peter Nauheimer who in 1880 bought the steamboat "Germania", refurbished it and launched it as his first boat under the name of "Frankfurt". The offer of transportation across the Main waterway was an immediate success. In fact, Captain Peter Nauheimer was warned by officials not to exceed the authorised number of 200 passengers onboard the "Germania". In 1888, the first landing stage outside Frankurt, in the bordering village of Schwanheim, was built. Documents dating back to 1887 show the impressive frequency with which the steamboat travelled between Frankfurt and Schwanheim. It also laid down the long-standing family boating tradition.Anton Nauheimer, Peter's great-grandson, founded the "Frankfurter Personenschiffahrt Anton Nauheimer GmbH" in 1980. Today, the company owns five striking boats that are known as "Primus Linie" and transport passengers along the Main, Rhine and Neckar Rivers. In contrast to 1880 today's boats serve the leisure activities of the company's guests, rather than acting solely as a means of transportation for workers everyday.

If you have the time, go for the full 100 minutes trip that takes you both upriver and downriver. The scenery is nice and you get a great view of the skyline of Frankfurt. The information given (in German and English) is good and informative. Best on a sunny day, but the boats also have good indoor facilities.

The Main River cruise is one of the activities that Frankfurt visitors are advised to try. For me, the river was a walking distance away from my hotel. So, we enjoyed the way to the stage. We walked through a nice park by the river side. You will see people cycling, jogging, walking, playing with their kids, roll skating, and board skating especially that it was Saturday. The boat has two areas one in the roof in the fresh air, that I think is more enjoyable. However, it my get cold and at that time you may descend to the lower, main hall, area.
You will see different parts and scenes of the city with a narration in German and English. You can order a drink. I selected chocolate drink with cream and ice cream. It was delicious.
The area was clean as far as my single experience.
You can have great photos there.
I enjoyed it so much. It can be a good time for relaxation.
We came late to the cruise, about 4:30 pm, so the 60 minutes cruise was available and not the 100 minutes one that I think is a better choice.
The cruise, I recommend it.

I was in Frankfurt for one day and because it was a great sunny day, I decided to take the 100 minutes cruise and it turned out to be a great decision. You can see the beautiful city and you have a both english/dutch guide for the most important attractions. A must do in Frankfurt!

It's not a bad tour for price but 2e more (10 total) would have doubled length to 100 minutes. Going down river there were probably 10 'announcements' for points of interest in passing which were good but that was it: nothing said on the way back up from the locks [turnaround point]. No problem hearing the narratives as there were speakers at every table against outside rails and all were made in German and English (by a Brit). Beer wasn't anymore expensive that at a pub landside and saw numerous peeps ordering food as well. The 1700 sailing was supposed to be limited to 50 minutes during the week (weekends the last sailing is later so you can opt for a 100-minute even that late) but after we got off we were told the boat was continuing upstream for the 50-minute tour :(:( It's relaxing, and a relatively cheap way to spend 2 hours but wish there was more narrative and that the narrative was split between out-and-back; that late in the day, probably only 50-60 people total on boat so prime seats were easy to get. Go earlier, go long.

This was not in my plan but since i have ample of time i decide to give it a try and i quite happy with this trip

I took the 100 minutes trip for 8.30EUR after discount (Standand Price-10.40EUR) when you have Frankfurt Card.

The bot when downstream to Greisheim which a lot of interesting stuff to see however when it go upstream to Gerbermuhle the view was nothing. So if you want to save some money and cannot take the 100min trip make sure to take the Downstream Trip, you will enjoy it

It has German and English commentary. That's enough as long as you understand it

Drink and food are available onboard
Short Note: Get ready you sweater (or extra jacket) it could be windy day
